Four Seasons

As I meditate through days of the calendar.
At your very side is where I wanted to be.
But as the seasons change from one to another.
I realize that you will never be with me.

For the Winter has a sadness and chills my heart.
That only you can fill, is that my desire.
As for the promise that we'll never part.
Is the folly of that one desire.

In the Spring, where life seems so new and vibrant.
And as the smell of flowers fills the air so brilliantly.
Is where my heart and love for you will remain silent.
For this is my one and only reality.

The Summer reminds me of the oppressive heat.
That only makes my heart grow weary.
Is where you will be until it's final beat.
And where my lonely tears could fill the sea.

In the Autumn is when I first met you.
A time, that I will never forget.
But without you, my days have become so very blue.
And nights are so full tears of pain and regret.

For the seasons remind me of you, and what used to be.
The promises that were made.
Remain unfulfilled in what could be.
As for my love for you will never fade.
