Click hereI walked by a grave in the woods one day,
My hair stood up when I heard a voice say.
"Old Top could ya spare a nickle? I wanna buy me a pickle!
My feet made tracks and carried me away!
I was cutting through the graveyard one night,
When suddenly I had an awful fright!
A hand slid from a nearby grave, and gave me a real friendly wave,
I gave a yell and ran clean out of sight!
There was an old grey-haired grave digging slave,
Who just simply didn't like digging graves.
He'd go slipping off on the sly, and hide out and guzzle his Rye,
He wasn't lazy, he just wasn't brave!
The "Lord of the Manor" sat on a bench,
He was watching his "Peasant" dig a trench.
The Peasant raised his hairy nose, and mumbled "That smell ain't no Rose,
I think I just found where he hid the Wench!!"
