Click hereWho the fuck was I to think I could be Mayor?
When Victoria mumbled a happy purr and snuggled into my side harder I knew the answer to that.
I was this woman's lover. And ... probably exactly as she had it planned ... there was soon going to be a wedding in our future. There was no way I was going to let this woman get away from me.
No way at all.
Because if I did, what did I really have going for me? Sad memories? A sailboat?
I eased my arm around Victoria and placed a kiss in her hair.
"Love you," I whispered.
"Um hum."
I smiled and kissed her hair again. "Sleep love, we have time."
We have time.
It's only Christmas day after all. There was still plenty of time left in this year for more disasters. Not that I cared.
See, I had found my star to set my true course by.
Quite amazing. 5
Question: will she be like Carmen dell'orefice and still be hisspeical lady when she is 85 and he is about 60? or will se die trageically and e will meet someone else for happily ever after? So many p[osibilities for writers, if they have ral talent.
Thoroughly enjoyed this story.
I have noticed, after reading a number of your stories, you leave them hanging in an unwarranted anticipation.
No epilogues, or maybe I've been spoiled by other authors on LIT. Hmm pondering that one methinks.
An engaging and fun story. Glad I found this story and will be reading others of yours, too.
You are an excellent storyteller.
Thanks!
WOW, twisted and wonderful. Deep hurts and soaring joys. You're an artist and take your readers on an emotional rollercoaster. Thank you for this wonderful experience with love hate and sexual tension.
"It will require the least amount of monetary capital impute to do."
Pretty sure the word you are reaching for here is the noun 'input', not the verb 'impute', which means to lay blame or responsibility for something bad, usually falsely or at least in error.
Fantastic story, but what would you expect from the author of 'Tits for Tats', one of the best stories that I ever read. I too would like to know about the two fires, and what happens to everyone. It's been 6+ years...hint, hint...
Excellent story, even my 2nd reading. More than a love story, also consequences of greed, growing up and morals or doing the right thing.
You usually leave some things unresolved but more than usual here. It beta for a part 2: did the council relieve the sheriff? Who fire bombed the house? did the state ing shots give agency come in to find the mayor? What about the shadow construction company?
Great story but just so sad he had to go through all of that and everyone still hated him the sacrifices the death of his family all of it and nothing gets better
A 5 but too long. I can’t believe that with a melted steel table the state fire marshal wasn’t called to inspect his parent’s house after the fire. Too many logical gaps.
