When I read a story, I can't help but notice little grammatical and spelling errors, but unless they're egregious, most of the time I don't feel they detract from the overall story. Those types of errors can be fixed, and I can help with those. It's really the story that counts - the plot, the themes, the characters, and all that good stuff. I can give you constructive feedback on your story that includes questions about something you wrote, continuity, whether the plot/themes/characters stay true, and other specifics you might ask me to review. I won't appropriate your story - it's YOUR story. But as a reader of lit, I can offer insights as to what's working, what's effective and what's not, what might be missing and what needs to be addressed. As for background, I have the appropriate degrees and credentials, have taught writing, worked as a writing tutor, and read countless essays/stories. I'm an avid reader of all kinds of works, both online and off (I'm terribly fond of those old-fashioned books you've heard so much about). I enjoy reading and offering feedback, and I'm willing to help when possible. Update: Turnaround times are running closer to a week, sometimes less, sometimes more. When I respond to your request, I'll try to give you an idea of what time-frame to expect so you can decide if that works for you.
