Hunting Wolves Ch. 05

His arms wrapped around me as he kissed the top of my head. "I would go through hell itself if you are waiting for me at the other side. I love you Lissa, I always have." I started crying again, stopping only when he put his hands on my cheeks and lifted my head up.

"Don't blame yourself. Blame does nothing for the future." He gently kissed me. "I was shocked when they told me you were pregnant, but it wasn't until your funeral that it really hit me that I had lost you both. It took a while, but I decided that if I ever had another chance at a family that I would never take it for granted."

"Well, that brings up a few interesting things we will have to talk about." I explained what I had been taught about pack life, matings and pregnancy. It was a sobering discussion. "I can't go back to my pack now. If I do, I as the Alpha Bitch will go into heat and Joel will take me as is his right. If you try to stop him, your challenge will be to the death. He's got decades of experience fighting, you are newly turned. I can't risk you doing that. I can't risk what we have over what my stupid wolf will do. The brazen bitch will probably run right up and stick it in his face while I scream in my mind for her to go back to you."

He thought about it for a while. "Then we leave. We go back to my truck, we drive far away from here, and we start a pack of two. As long as I have you, I don't care what I become or where I go."

I melted as he crushed his lips down on mine. It took several minutes before we finally broke apart. "Honey... so you'll go anywhere I go?"

"You betcha."

"I'm going to bed!" I kicked off my boots and dove back on the bed. "Now is that hardon ready for action or is it just for show?"

He smiled as his dick bounced around as he took his boots off. "You make me so hard a cat couldn't scratch this." He moved on top of me, capturing my mouth in a possessive kiss as my legs wrapped around his thighs. "I will make love to you for hours later, but right now I need you so bad..."

"So take me." I reached down and lined him up with my dripping slit. He slid home in one long and glorious thrust. "FUCK me, I've missed this so!" He started to say something but I pulled his lips down to mine as he slowly withdrew. His hand gripped the hair on the back of my head, pulling against it as he drove home again. And again. My body was humming with excitement, I had my man and he was TAKING me like I had been dreaming of for months. We could make love later, I thought as I drove my hips back up in time. The sound of his hips smacking my ass filled the cave as he bent my legs back to my chest and drove deep. The sensations were overwhelming, sex was so much better, so much more to experience now that I had wolf senses. I grabbed his ass with both hands as his thrusts became shorter and faster, both of us building towards a climax that would shatter records.

And shatter I did. It started deep in my stomach, but exploded out to my extremeties. "DOUGGGGGG!" My muscles locked up, my breathing stopped, black spots appeared in my vision- everything stopped working as the wave crashed over me.

"LISSA!! FUCK!!" He drove impossibly deep and held me tight as he sent rope after rope of hot cum deep inside me.

When it was over, he collapsed on top of me, still buried deep inside. It took a few moments for him to get enough strength to look at me. "Are you all right, love?"

"All right was a long time ago. I'm fucking fantastic." I was still breathing hard and the aftereffects of my orgasm were still running their course. I felt like I was flying. "You can do that to me forever."

"Forever won't be long enough." He kissed me, then he rolled me onto my side, staying inside me the whole time. Sleep came quickly.

We woke an hour or so later and he poked his head outside. He took some deep sniffs of the air, not really understanding what it was, but I knew. Deer. Some deer where just upwind of the cave. I didn't get a chance to say anything before his wolf pushed forward.

He dropped to his knees in pain as the change started. Bones cracked and reformed. Fur pushed out through skin as his body lengthened. His mouth opened as if to scream, but nothing came out as his face lengthened and sharp teeth formed. It probably just took a few seconds, but it seemed like forever to me. When it was over, a large silver wolf with white tips on his ears was standing in the cave. Before I could say anything, it leaped forward and disappeared.

I didn't even stop to put anything on, I ran out into the snow and cold to follow him. I begged my wolf to take over, to track him down and keep him safe, but nothing happened. I stumbled across the rock and snow and pine needles, using my senses to track him. It was freezing out, but without my Alpha here to force the shift my wolf wasn't playing.

I heard the deer bolt and listened for the sound of a kill. The gunshot stopped me in my tracks. "Fuck!" I took off at a dead run. I knew it wasn't safe, but my man could be hurt and I couldn't slow down. I came to the ravine where the deer had been grazing, I was too busy looking for Doug I didn't pay attention to the ground ahead. My front foot slipped on a patch of snow-covered ice, I couldn't regain my balance. I fell heavily, my head smacking into the frozen ground.

I regained consciousness, my head spinning as I tried to sit up. I immediately got sick to my stomach and rolled to the side, losing my breakfast in the brush. It took a few minutes more but I managed to get to my feet. I was dizzy and sore, grasping trees for support, but I kept going forward. When I got to the clearing at the end of the ravine I saw a deer being field dressed by two men in orange camouflage. "Help..." I tried to move forward but my feet were frozen and my body wasn't cooperating any more. I dropped to my knees, then fell to the side just as the first man got to me.

"Billy, call 911, get some fucking help here!" He pulled off his hunting jacket, then his overalls. He pulled the oversized pants over my frozen legs and pulled the straps tight, then lifted my upper body and put the jacket on. Everything was so big I didn't need socks or gloves. I tried to say something, but my teeth were chattering so bad I couldn't talk. He picked me up bridal style and held me tight to him.

I heard the sound of an ATV starting and a few minutes later Billy showed up. He pulled next to us. "I've got no service out here, we'll just have to call for an ambulance on the way."

"I'll do it. You stay here and I'll come back and get you after I get her to help."

"Why do you get to save the hot naked lady?"

"Because you have all your winter clothes on. It shouldn't take too long." He got on the ATV, then Billy used some bungee cords on the racks to lash me to his chest and legs. I barely had strength to hold on as he took off for the trailhead. "Miss, just hang on and we'll get you to help. What is your name?"

I was shivering as I thought, I didn't say anything at first. My options were pretty limited. I couldn't get away, I could barely sit upright. I didn't know where Doug was, and in wolf form he would do whatever his wolf wanted. All I could do was protect him. "I... I don't know."

The man stiffened a little before looking back. "Other than being cold, are you OK?"

"My head hurts. I woke up naked and just started walking."

"My truck is just a few more minutes away. We'll get you inside where it is warm and get you to the hospital."

I hugged him a little tighter. "What is your name?"

"I'm Mike. Mike Andersen."

"Are you going to hurt me Mike?"

He stiffened again. "No, I won't. I will make sure you get the help you need. Did someone hurt you?"

I paused a while. "I don't know." I shifted a little. "My head hurts and I'm sleepy."

"That's hypothermia setting in. I want you to keep hugging me to stay warm, and stay awake for me."

I held on. A few minutes later I was bundled into an extended cab F-150 and covered with blankets. Mike jumped in and tore down the snow-covered dirt road that led to town.

I stopped shivering at the main road before we met up with the ambulance. He had finally connected to 911 and passed along information about me while I burrowed myself into a nest in the passenger seat. Heated seats... let me just say I will never have a car without them again. I knew he said to stay awake, but once I was warm sleep took me quickly.

I woke up in a hospital bed, machines hooked to me, and a Sheriff looking down at me in shock.

"Holy shit," he said, "It's Alyssa Miller."

"Do I know you?"

"No, Ma'am, but I know some people who will be very glad to see you. Do you remember anything about how you ended up naked and freezing in the middle of nowhere?"

I gave him a blank look. "No." I closed my eyes and my face scrunched as the headache pain raged on. "I remember waking up cold and running for help."

A doctor came in to examine me and the nurse with him pushed the Sheriff out. I pretended to be asleep as the doctor finished his exam. They left and closed the door, but with my new hearing I could still make out their conversation. "Sheriff, she has an injury to the back of her head just above the neck, it could have been a rock or blunt object. She also showed signs of hypothermia, which is expected, but also of recent sexual activity."

"OK, I'll need you to do a rape kit."

"Already done. Are you sure of her identity?"

"Yes. I got some prints off her before she woke up, and I took a photo I will send to her parents and get them to verify. Did she say anything about who did this to her?"

"No, she doesn't remember. Head injuries are tough to predict, she might remember everything when she wakes up or she might not remember a thing."

"Well, the DNA won't lie. I have a pretty damn good idea who did this."

"I hope you get him, if it is Lissa she's been put through hell."

The sheriff sighed. "I have to go interview the guys who found her. Here's my card, call me immediately if she remembers anything." I listened for their footsteps to walk away. Shit. This was going to get bad.

I kept the charade going, the less I had to explain the better. I slept, ate, watched coverage of my case leading the news and worried constantly about Doug. My head was getting better, I didn't have the headaches by the next morning. I was thinking I could pull this off when the door opened and my parents walked in.

I let my shocked face go blank as they rushed over to my bed. "You... I know you."

My Mom practically fell onto the bed to hug me while my Dad leaned down to kiss my face. "Yes, Lissa, we are your parents. Gary and Madeline Miller. God, baby, I'm so glad you are alive!" Mom was crying nonstop onto my chest, I wanted to hug them and tell them everything but I couldn't.

"Mom? Why can't I remember you?"

"You will, Lissa, you will. Everything is going to be fine."

I was in the hospital one more night, my 'memory' never came back but physically I was OK. My parents checked me out and the police snuck me out since the press was camped in front of the hospital. They took me home and doted on me constantly, I'd pretend to remember something once in a while just to make them think I was getting better.

I liked to sit in the sun room, wrapped in a blanket, and watch the sun set. I would look into the woods behind my house and pray a wolf would show. When he didn't, my Dad would pick me up and take me to bed.

I was sipping on a hot chocolate and watching the woods when the doorbell rang. I listened in as a Madison Police detective talked to my parents.

The rape kit DNA tests had come back. It was a match for Doug. A warrant for his arrest on assault, rape and kidnapping charges had been issued.
