My Life Turned into a Prison Pt. 03

Author's Notes: I really appreciate the comments on the first two chapters. I thought I would break this up into little easily consumable chunks, however, lots of people didn't like that. So I've put the rest of the story, all 13k words in this chapter. I really hope people enjoy this story. Like I said before, I'm a novice writer and my first attempt at the Burn the B genre. For those who gave my first two chapters low scores because of the short chapters and content, I hope that you will take that into consideration when you read this and possibly look at changing your original score.

This is all fiction and I know that there are several cliches here. But this is for entertainment and should be enjoyed as such. If you don't like it I'm sorry, but like my momma said, if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say nothing. Ha Ha Enjoy.

THE FIRST MONTH OF THE ARRANGEMENT

The next month was rough on Jeff. While he had tried to keep his mind off it, he still knew that Alicia was sleeping with her boss Brad. He still had sex with her about once a week and as she had agreed, she never declined any advances he gave toward her. Whatever he wanted she was ready to give him. She kept the house clean and cooked him all his favorite dinners. She would snuggle with him, and they looked like a perfect couple in public.

Even their daughter Beth commented to her father how loving he and mom looked. It broke his heart when she said it, but he kept a straight face. No need to include his 17-year-old daughter in this awful truth just yet.

So even though lots of things were good, the routine that Alicia got into was taking its toll on Jeff. Normally Alicia would let Jeff know that she was "working late" on Tuesday nights. Leaving dressed in her business attire; she always carried a small overnight bag with her. Jeff had gotten curious and looked in it once and regretted it the moment that he did. It contained a change of clothes, jeans and a t-shirt, but it also included lingerie and even anal lube. This crushed Jeff's soul as he zipped it back up.

The reason that Alicia would work late on Tuesday nights is that was the night Beth went to the local community college and took an early college course, trying to get a head on her upcoming college classes. Jeff was proud of her but ashamed of the way that his wife was using this to disguise her rendezvous.

Alicia would come back late on Tuesday nights, gliding in and straight to the shower. She didn't try to kiss or touch Jeff until after she got out. She made that mistake the first time she came home to touch his arm and he jumped back as if she was poison. He told her that he never wanted to touch her after where she had been until she had washed Brad off and out of her. That hurt Alicia that her husband rejected her touch, but then again, she realized it might be too in his face to deal with now. So, since the first time, the immediate shower routine became normal. She also tried to snuggle and cuddle with Jeff several times after her Tuesday night showers and always found him getting up and going to bed, sometimes in the guest room. So, she stopped trying to be affectionate on Tuesdays all together.

Alicia also started going out with Brad on Friday nights. Beth had started staying at a friend's house so the girls could gossip and have fun. This gave Alicia the opportunity to come home from work, get dressed up and leave with that overnight bag to go out with Brad for dinner and a trip to a hotel. She normally would be home by around 9:00 am the next morning and would text Jeff a few times during the night and in the morning telling him what was going on. Jeff never responded to a single text. He would wait until she left, start working on his list and then end up getting drunk enough to pass out and not think about what was happening. So, Friday nights in his recliner were becoming the new norm.

On Saturday morning he would wake up hung over and generally find a glass of water and aspirin waiting on him. Alicia would be changed into lounge clothes making lunch like nothing was out of the ordinary.

Since she was getting all the sex she could handle, Alicia was pretty much in a great mood all the time and wanted to thank Jeff for allowing her to have a fantastic husband at home and a marathon beast in the bedroom. She never realized that the happier she was, the more somber and angrier Jeff was becoming. He wasn't mean and he wasn't yelling, but it was hard for him to be civil with her at times.

Another thing that Alicia tried to do to please Jeff was make him a meal for the nights she was gone. After the second straight week she found the meal in the garbage not touched, she stopped trying that. She figured Jeff was just being petty not able to handle his fragile male ego being hurt and she was tired of putting in the effort.

MONTHS 2 AND 3 OF THE ARRANGEMENT

This new routine that Alicia has started slowly changed for the worse for Jeff. The business at Alicia's work picked up causing her to work late most nights, well except Tuesday and Friday nights, so she started asking Jeff to do a little more around the house. Like he had done for 19 years, he jumped in to help before he even thought about it. That was just who he was. It wasn't until the end of the third month that he realized that he was basically doing all the housework and yard work. He had even cooked a few meals. Alicia kept apologizing that her work was taking time away from her house chores, but she never once offered to cut down on her "Brad time" to do these chores.

During these three months Jeff was doing some planning on the side. He had made a list:

1. Talk to a Divorce Attorney and confirm what he thought would happen in a divorce.

2. Get help from someone he can trust.

3. Find a way to cut his salary back substantially.

4. Find a way to get Beth into a dorm room when she went to college.

5. Divide their finances.

6. Investigate this Brad character.

7. Get solid proof of their affair.

8. Take whatever humiliation he needed to in order to get his plan done.

9. Take care of all loose ends.

10. Burn it all down.

He had researched and even talked to a lawyer to confirm he would be screwed in a divorce. He made slightly more than Alicia did, plus Beth was under 18 and planning to live at home during college to save money. So, he would probably pay alimony and child support. Even though Beth would be over 18, most judges would side with the mother, and he might even have to pay more alimony so that Alicia could support Beth in his house. Not to mention she would get to keep the house like she said. So, she was right, he would end up paying her to move Brad into her house.

With this new information Jeff started hatching a plan to complete his list. Over those months he was able to pull enough money from his bonus into a new account with only his name on it and sold a few of his tools and collectibles. That money was added to the account he had named "Revenge Money". This was going to be his war chest because he was looking at this as a war. He had been forced into it and not given a choice. So, if they want to do the hard press on him, he was more than happy to do the same.

Unfortunately, this took time. That meant that he had to deal with her dates and the humiliation until the timing was right. By his calculations that meant that he would have to endure this humiliation and nightmare about 6 months until he could pull the trigger on his plan. He didn't want to leave anything to chance, and he knew the moment he started, he would have to work fast to get ahead of them at every turn.

He couldn't do this alone. He needed an ally he could trust and knew would be on his side. Jeff finally knew he had to include Mark, who happened to be not only his best friend, but also his boss in what was going on. He would hopefully be the friend and person Jeff could trust through this whole ordeal.

Mark was shocked and hurt for his friend. After they sat in silence for a while Mark asked what Jeff was going to do. Jeff simply asked if he could be laid off from his existing position. That shocked Mark but Jeff had a plan.

Jeff had enough money to keep the household bills paid for a while and worked it out with Mark to work as a contractor on the side. Jeff agreed to do everything he had been doing, but his paycheck would be cut in half. Mark would then pay him in cash for the remainder of his paycheck. That way he showed he had far less income, but Alicia wasn't the wiser since he did most of the financials. He could also take the money he had and trickle it into the account a little at a time. That should buy him the time he needed.

The next part of his plan was a little harder to accomplish. He applied for a dorm for his daughter in the Fall when classes started and had to come up with a down payment. This way if Beth was out of the house, there would be no additional money for Alicia to ask for because Beth was essentially on her own.

Once again, his friend Mark helped. Mark wrote the check without even blinking and told Jeff to consider it payment for all the extra work that Jeff had done over the years. It made Jeff glad to know he had someone in his corner.

THE FIRST SCARE

Jeff needed to know what his "enemy" Brad was doing and planning so the easiest way to do that was to monitor Alicia's phone and email when he could. He got lucky one day that he found her laptop open and logged on while she was in the shower. Jeff quickly went through and forwarded everything from and to Brad to a new account he had setup. It might not have been totally legal, but hey, this is war. He would read these later while she was on her dates.

Jeff also checked Alicia's phone and found an interesting text chain between Brad and Alicia. Reading the texts back and forth, this read as more of a planned series of events versus a chance encounter. The two of them planned what they were going to do with each other, how they thought Jeff would react and Brad even gave Alicia pointers on what to say in her big talk with Jeff. The more Jeff read, the more his blood boiled. Then he was hit with the biggest secret of all. Any chance for saving his marriage was gone when he read their latest exchange.

Brad - SO IS CUCKY STARTING TO COME AROUND TO LIKING THIS YET?

Alicia - NOT YET, BUT I'M WORKING ON HIM. HE HAS GOTTEN HARD A FEW TIMES I STROKED HIM AND TALKED ABOUT HOW YOU ARE I HAVE HOT SEX.

Brad - THAT'S GOOD, IT SOUNDS LIKE HE IS TAKING THE TURN TO ACTUALLY ENJOY THIS.

Alicia - I HOPE SO. I DON'T WANT TO LOSE HIM BUT I LOVE WHAT WE HAVE.

Brad - TRUST ME. I'VE SEEN IT BEFORE. HE WILL FALL IN LINE SOON.

Alicia - I HOPE SO. IT WOULD BE SO HOT TO HAVE HIM WATCHING AND CLEANING UP AFTER YOU. THINKING OF HIM SUBMITTING TO YOU TURNS ME ON.

Brad - DON'T WORRY, IT WILL HAPPEN. IN THE MEANTIME, BE READY FOR OUR DATE. I'M GOING TO TAKE YOU TO ALEXANDROS. I LOVE THEIR FOOD.

Alicia - I LOVE THAT PLACE! BUT THAT IS REALLY CLOSE, WHAT ABOUT JEFF'S RULES?

Brad - AS IF I CARE ABOUT HIS STUPID RULES. HE JUST NEEDS TO SHUT UP AND GET IN LINE.

Alicia - SOUNDS LIKE A PLAN! I CAN'T WAIT!

Jeff tossed the phone back down and found the nearest chair while his world was spinning. The woman he thought he loved was getting off on his humiliation. She was wanting to push him into submission. Who was this woman?

Jeff shook his head and thought he would have time to process this later. Now he had a plan and knew what he needed to do. He grabbed the phone again, sending screen shots to his own phone for proof. Then he went outside in his car and drove down the block. From the privacy of his car, he called Mark. He filled him in on what he discovered and then asked a simple question.

"Do you want to take your wife to a nice Italian dinner?"

So, while the planning was going on, Jeff had learned to become numb to the dates that Alicia was having. It still hurt him because he still remembered the love they shared for 19 years. It seemed like Alicia didn't care anymore and just wanted her needs met. Jeff would just swallow his pride and wait. Planning and timing were key, no need to rush it.

Alicia left on Friday night with Brad as normal. She hardly acknowledged him when she walked by his chair on her way out the door. Jeff had to admit that she looked gorgeous and had really put in the effort for this date. Jeff just hoped that he could keep up the act and not give into his anger until he was ready.

Everything ended up like it normally did with Jeff getting drunk in his chair. However, things were different in the morning. He woke up from his drunk routine on a Saturday to find Alicia sitting across from him in the living room. Her clothes were changed, and she had obviously had a shower, but she had a fear on her face he hadn't seen before.

"What is it?" Jeff mumbled.

Alicia nervously spoke. "Jeff something happened last night. Brad and I had worked a little late so when we left for dinner we were starving. We decided to go to the Italian place on Broadway."

Jeff had to masked that he knew the truth. Oddly enough, he could still feel the heat of his anger going into his neck. She lied to him with such ease that it terrified him. "You mean the one we go to from time to time?!?!? The one 15 minutes from here? What happened to our 45-mile rule?"

"That's the thing, we were starving and weren't thinking. We never thought we would see anyone we know."

Jeff rubbed his temples. "So, what happened?"

"Well, we had just sat down and I looked over and at the other end of the restaurant was your boss Mark and his wife. Mark looked right up and made eye contact with me. I'm pretty sure he took our photo as well. I was shocked and whispered to Brad to get the car and I went to the restroom."

Well at least it was Mark like we planned, Jeff thought. But that didn't make him any less angry. "Didn't I tell you that was my biggest fear and that's why you agreed to the long range?"

Alicia was crying now. "I know, I'm so sorry, I don't know what to do. Brad didn't think it was a big deal and if anyone asks, we can just say we were celebrating a milestone at work."

"Of course he didn't think it was a big deal, he isn't the one outed as a cuckold!"

With that Jeff got up, got dressed and said he was going out for the day. He needed away from this woman and once he was out of the house, he went to a parking lot and called Mark.

"I thought I would hear from you today buddy." Mark said very somberly.

"Thank you for going. She was beside herself when she got home. How bad was it, Mark?" Jeff just wanted to get in front of it.

"I saw them come in with his arm around her waist and she was snuggled up to him. There weren't that many people there and I didn't notice anyone recognizing them. When they sat down, they were playing with each other's hands across the table. Then she glanced over and saw me. I just tipped my beer to her, and she suddenly jerked her hands back, said something to him and left for the bathroom. He walked out and then she rushed out a few minutes later like her hair was on fire."

At least she told me the truth, Jeff thought.

"One other thing Jeff, I just want to tell you, they didn't look like friends taking care of a sexual need. They were a couple. I hate to be the one to tell you this but she's into this guy big time. I did get a few photos of the two of them together. I thought you might need them at some point."

Jeff was fuming. "I figured as much."

"So, what are you going to do?"

Jeff flatly said, "Burn it all down."

"Thought so, let me know what I can do to provide the matches."

JEFF'S PLAN STARTS TO GO INTO MOTION

Jeff stayed out most of the day and ignored Alicia's calls and texts. By the time he got home Beth was there, so he didn't have to talk to Alicia. That was a good thing that he could avoid her a little longer. When Jeff walked in, Alicia stood to come to him, but he just nodded no. She stopped where she was just staring at him.

Beth looked up from her phone. "Dad, are you okay? You don't look good."

"I think I'm coming down with something. I'm going to sleep in the guest room to make sure I don't give either of you anything." Then before anyone could protest, he went to the Master Bedroom, grabbed some clothes and went to the guest bathroom to shower. He locked the door and stood under the water just thinking how he could speed up his plan. At this point at least he orchestrated who saw them, but Alicia was so into Brad, she had forgotten all his rules and wasn't even trying to think of him or his feelings. As the water washed over him, the last of the love he had for her went down the drain with it.

Beth went to college in three months, the week before their 20th wedding anniversary. He had things to do, but could he really hold on another three months? He would have to, which meant dealing with Alicia and whatever she decided to throw at him for a little longer. Maybe this scare would slow her down a bit, but he doubted it.

When he finished showering, he changed in the bathroom, turned and went to the guest room quickly and shut and locked the door. It wasn't long before he heard Alicia try the doorknob. She knocked a few times and then finally gave up and walked away. He thought he heard her crying but wasn't sure. Anyway, it was way too late for that anyway.

On Sunday everyone just moved around each other cautiously. Beth left to grab some stuff from the store for her mother, which gave Alicia the chance to approach Jeff.

"We need to talk about this." She said rushing into his office.

Jeff picked up his coffee cup and took a sip. "Talk about what?"

His casual tone made Alicia stopped and just look at him. Then Jeff continued, his voice slowly raising as he spoke.

"I gave you a group of rules to abide by. You broke two of those! You went to a place we go and then someone we know; MY BOSS AND BEST FRIEND saw you! So not only did you disrespect me, now I'm humiliated as well."

Alicia had talked to Brad yesterday when Jeff was gone sulking. He told her to be aggressive, don't let up and Jeff would submit. His love for her was too strong to not give in. Time to take back the advantage she thought.

"It's not that bad, don't be a baby." Alicia said condescending.

"That's right, blame it on my male ego that you can't keep your legs closed. Also, Mark told me that you to acted like lovers that were in a long-term relationship. Doesn't sound like getting an itch scratched to me."

Alicia was shocked. "You talked to Mark?" This wasn't going her way and she started to panic.

Jeff looked angry and lied to his wife. "He actually called me to let me know that my wife was screwing around on me!"

"What did you say?"

"I told him that you were celebrating a big deal, and I would ask you about the hugging."

Alicia relaxed a little. "Do you think he bought it?"

"I don't know, and I don't care. This needs to stop!"

Okay, now was her opening she thought. Take the lead and Jeff will follow just like he always has. This way they could speed up their goal and use this unfortunate incident to their advantage.

"No, we will just be more careful. I talked to Brad about it and maybe he could just come over here instead."

"Seriously?" Jeff said sarcastically.

Alicia turned on the charm again. "Okay, probably not the ideal situation for you, but we have a plan. If he parks in the garage when he comes over, we can stay here, and we will order in, or I'll cook. No one will ever know, and you can even watch if you want."

Jeff just shook his head. "Do what you want......you are going to anyway."
