Click hereLaura flickered through a range of emotion. Exhaustion and exasperation with the whole conversation. Confusion at whatever she felt towards Sara and their relationship. Anger at being so nakedly manipulated by her friend Jessie.
And embarrassment that it was working.
Laura was quiet for a long time. She could hear Jessie breathing through the receiver, but the pink-haired imp was happy to stay silent for the moment. She massaged her temples with one hand. Finally, the words bubbled up on their own.
"I'll see you there." she finally said, and hung up the phone. She placed it back down on the desk. After a moment, Laura stood and crossed the room, grabbing her coat off the rack by the door. She needed to go home and sleep. It would probably all look clearer in the morning.
Laura lay in bed for hours, replaying her conversation with Jessie over and over again, before finally drifting off into a brief, fitful sleep.

Sara lay in bed, enshrouded in darkness. She looked over at the glowing alarm clock on her nightstand.
'3:00a'
She sighed quietly and rolled away, briefly enjoying the coolness of the pillow on her face. She thought about her trip to the store. How far she'd come in so little time. About getting her first blowjob in the back room of a sex shop. But mostly, she thought of what Jessie had told her.
"I think she likes you, Sara."
Amazing. You have something really good going with this series. I can tell after this chapter this is going to be a good series. Hopefully, you find a way to extend this series into a 5 or 6-part series, just don't let the series drag on too long. Another great chapter and hope you continue to do many other series after Sara & Laura.
I did like to see the charakter develop. It's a nice story and I like to read more of it.
