**Eva's point of view**
Stepping out of that dark alley, Eva once again started walking towards the bar now that she was certain she wasn't being followed. The sound of her heels clicking against the hard pavement echoed in the silent night as she hurried towards the neon signed bar.
She walked with purpose, her eyes scanning the dimly lit streets as she tried to shake off the lingering feeling of dread that had clung to her since the earlier incident with the construction worker. Every shadow seemed to hide a potential threat, and even the soft glow of the streetlights seemed menacing despite their reassuring presence. As she neared the bar, she began to breathe a tentative sigh of relief, her heartbeat gradually slowing down.
Suddenly, a loud crash echoed from the direction opposite the bar, startling her. Eva froze, her heart pounding wildly. Was there danger lurking nearby? Or was it simply her heightened awareness due to her encounter with the construction worker? Eva stood there, frozen in fear. Every passing second felt like an eternity as she strained to listen for any additional sounds or movements. A car horn blared in the distance, shaking her out of her trance. She focused her hearing ability and heard two guys arguing about a car crash. Eva sighed another sigh of relief now forcing all paranoia out of her mind. She would go crazy if she started to be scared of all noises around her. Against all her instincts and training she forced herself to ignore her abilities so she could have a peaceful night ahead of her.
As she approached the entrance of Tony's Bar, her pulse accelerated. Her hand trembled slightly as she reached for the handle of the door. Once inside, she scanned the crowd, searching for Jax's menacing figure among the sea of faces. To her surprise, she spotted Mr. Marco from the club instead, standing at the counter with a drink in hand. His gaze darted around the room, his expression anxious and confused. Eva hesitated, unsure whether to greet him or disappear discreetly.
This Italian guy had recently started working at the back of the club and whenever Eva had asked Jax about it he had always avoided going into detail about what he did back there besides telling her he was some sort of expert working for the mob so not to go poking around too much. Eva had only a handful interactions with Mr. Marco but contrary to Jax's portrayal of him; Mr. Marco had seemed to be a nice enough person to her.
Eva hesitated for a moment, her gaze shifting between Marco and the bar counter. As she observed him, he just seemed to mind his own business and kept drinking. Seeing that Jax wasn't at the bar yet meant he was probably late. So deciding to grab a drink to calm herself and somewhat get rid of her paranoia she headed for the bar.
As she made her way through the crowded bar, she noticed the curious glances directed towards her. Eva understood their interest stemmed from her appearance -- her striking red attire and the enticing curve of her body. The low-cut neckline exposed ample cleavage, while the tight midsection hugged her curves snugly, accentuating her hourglass figure. Despite her unease, Eva maintained her poise, taking measured steps as she navigated the maze of patrons. Her eyes settled on the bartender, a middle-aged woman with a friendly demeanor.
As Eva started to walk towards the bartender; she happened to pass by a booth with a group of four men sitting and drinking. She had noticed their eyes on her as well when she had walked in there but just as she passed through she heard one of them let out a low whistle and say "ooooo boy! Look at the tits on this chick!" Eva practically felt all their eyes scanning her chest with their hungry eyes then she heard him go on snickering "What do you reckon? Bet you pencil dicked losers will get lost between that canyon trying to hump those tits! Hah!" Eva felt her cheeks go hot with embarrassment hearing those words which no normal woman would have been able to hear above all the loud music that was playing. Eva rushed away from them before she could hear other guys from that group comment further.
"Hello, darling," the bartender greeted her cheerfully once Eva stood at the bar.
"What can I get for you today?" Eva hesitated, her voice barely audible.
"Umm, just a glass of white wine, please." The bartender nodded, her hands deftly pouring the requested beverage.
Eva sipped the chilled Pinot Grigio, savoring the fruity notes and delicate acidity. It was clearly a cheap wine but Eva didn't complain. Hardly any kind of alcohol affected her enough to cause any issues. The alcohol warmed her insides, offering fleeting comfort amidst the whirlwind of emotions raging within her. She scanned the bar once more, noticing that Mr. Marco remained oblivious to her presence.
With a slight tilt of her head, Eva appraised him covertly. His tanned skin contrasted sharply with his stark white shirt, hinting at his Mediterranean heritage. His salt-and-pepper hair was cropped closely, accentuating his angular features. He appeared distracted, lost in anxious contemplation.
As she nursed her Pinot Grigio, she couldn't help but eavesdrop on his muttered conversation with the bartender.
"Yeah," he mumbled softly, "I've been waiting for quite a while now. He promised to meet me here, but I haven't seen him anywhere."
Eva furrowed her brow, intrigued by Marco's apparent distress. Curiosity piqued, she summoned the courage to approach him. "Excuse me," she ventured gently, "I couldn't help but overhear your conversation. Are you waiting for someone?" Marco startled, turning to regard her with guarded suspicion.
"Yes, I am." Marco replied cautiously, eyeing Eva warily. "But I don't think it's any of your concern."
Eva shifted uncomfortably, sensing the tension in the air. "I apologize if I intruded," she murmured softly, "but I couldn't help but notice your concern. I'm Eva, by the way."
"Oh," Marco responded with a slight surprise as he finally seemed to have looked at her long enough and a light of recognition lit up his face. "Eva... from the club. I'm sorry I didn't recognize you... In well... This outfit. You look great!" His guarded demeanor vanished now Marco leaned forward a bit to peck her cheek before sitting back down.
Then in a slightly whispered voice he said "I'm here for work actually. I'm working on something and I can't seem to get it working the way I want... I guess that's got me all riled up. Sorry about that... I didn't mean to be rude."
He looked nervously at the door once more before checking his watch. He sighed before saying "well I doubt I'm gonna see the guy I'm supposed to meet tonight... Might as well head home."
Eva curious about it all now dropped her own guard and quickly asked him "would you mind keeping me company for a bit longer then? I'm here to meet Jax and he must be a bit late. Maybe you can tell me a bit about what you are working on... Maybe I can help you with something there?"
Mr. Marco looks around a couple of times to make sure no one is eavesdropping before leaning closer to Eva. She could smell the alcohol on his breath; he was definitely a bit drunk.
He says in a slightly hushed voice "I don't know if I should tell you this but I guess Jax knows so he might tell you anyway. Me being good at tech... someone must have found out and I was contacted by an ex league member about three months ago." He paused for effect and Eva pretended to seem only mildly interested yet inside she was feeling extremely curious to know more.
He went on by saying "She told me how she thought her powers could be tracked... she had slightly radio active powers so I guess if someone with good amount of tech could track radioactivity around the city and find her." Eva could definitely recall a heroine who used to wear gloves as her touch caused radiation burns to whoever she touched with her bare hands. She had retired a year before Eva had.
Mr. Marco kept going "so she wanted to see if I could help her hide her abilities or even get rid of them somehow; which isn't easy mind you!" He took a big gulp of his drink and Eva signaled the bartender to refill his drink.
Marco sighed as he told Eva more "so I told her that any solution that I could create for her would be temporary if not with some side effects but she was game! She told me anything I could give her was worth it. She even paid me big bucks to get started. So I have been secretly working on prototypes and only a handful of them have given positive results. Nothing full proof! It's so frustrating! I know I'm so close just need to test my prototypes more thoroughly."
Eva quickly jumped in; still wanting to sound mildly interested "so where are you stuck now?"
He drank some more from his refilled drink before saying in a frustrated tone "I got in touch with someone on the internet about some artifact that can somewhat dampen abilities though I feel it might be fake. I had to see for myself though. Turns out the guy didn't even show up so must have been someone just messing around wasting time."
Eva frowned knowing this tech that Marco was working on could prove very useful to her if it actually worked. She wanted to know more and even help out if she could in any way just so Marco might be able to get his tech working somehow.
So she did the only logical thing that came to her "what exactly is the tech you have? You said you have somewhat positive results right? I'm sure even without the artifact you would be able to make it work." Marco looked at her with a faint smile "I appreciate the confidence in me Ms. Eva but I don't know... Without more data or that artifact I'm stuck for now."
Eva asked promptly "what kind of data?" to which he replied with a sigh "you know... With what I have I can't test it out... On a real subject and see if the adjustments I make are working or not. I can't improve anything if I'm not even sure if I'm going in the right direction or not! It's so frustrating!"
Now Eva fully grasped what Marco was after. If he couldn't get his hands on the artifact that was promised to him on the internet what Marco needed more than anything was a heroine as a test subject. The other heroine either trusted Marco enough to reach out to him for help with concealing her powers or was that desperate to get rid of her powers but was it really a good idea for Eva to trust Marco as well? Eva definitely was struggling with her own abilities lately; especially tonight with her paranoia after hearing Hayley's news.
This time Eva had to drink deep from her glass of wine to think it all over. And with slight hesitation she asked Marco "what if you got a... Test subject? How quickly would you be able to get results?"
Marco shrugged and pulled out a very slim and subtle, black colored choker from his pocket and put it on the bar counter as he said "well I already have a prototype that has shown promise so if I get someone to test it out I should be able to improve it based on the feedback I get. I can't obviously guarantee anything will come out of it. For all I know I'm just not smart enough to figure it out at all." After that he fell silent and seemed to be in deep thought.
Eva couldn't help but keep staring at the choker that lay on the bar counter in between them. 'It was too good to be true right? I mean I was paranoid about my powers and wondered about ever having a normal life without my powers and here is a solution landing right in my lap?' Eva thought to herself.
The allure of a normal life was great but her instincts to protect herself and her son was even greater for Eva as she struggled internally to decide how to proceed with this. Should she just let this opportunity slip away or somehow convince Marco to hand over his prototype to her without letting him know about her abilities? Maybe he was just enough drunk to not remember her stealing it from him? She weighed her options in her mind.
She turned to him to see if she could convince him to let her take it but before she could do anything or say anything; her vision went dark. She wasn't blind or the world hadn't gone dark around her, her senses could still tell that she was in the bar. She could still smell the alcohol around her and hear all the men cheering at some sports on TV and she could feel the heat of Marco sitting close to her on her skin.
Yet she couldn't see anything around her for a moment - it was pitch black. Just before Eva was starting to panic though she recognized the signs of a psychic attack on her mind. She was strong both physically and mentally due to her powers but an untrained psychic could still cause her some discomfort.
Eva started to feel heavy headache starting to roll through her head the longer she kept up her guard against the attack. Though she could tell it was more a probe than an actual attack just from the intensity of it - it was testing her mental defenses but it felt more like it was reaching out rather than drill inside her mind.
Whatever it was, attack or probe; it wasn't coming from anyone in the bar though. That was for certain as Eva's experience with such abilities taught her. Whoever it was... He or she weren't near enough to her to actually cause any damage; the fact that they were reaching out like this was probably a sign that it was a distress call of some sort or it was a trap of some kind. Though for it to be a trap they would have to know with absolute certainty that Eva or any super-powered person was in the bar.
There was no way for Eva to fight it off on her own without being in her suit which was made to withstand such attacks. So unless whoever it was gave up on their own the only move Eva had was to lower her guard and see what it was about. Taking a deep breath Eva slowly lowered her mental guard just a tiny bit to get a taste of what was to come.
Instantly Eva was shown flashing images of a dark street just like she had been before earlier along with a familiar sense of someone following. Though these thoughts weren't hers. This definitely was a distress call from a powered person. Eva lowered her guard even more and instantly she felt hands on her body grabbing her, dragging her towards a dark alley. In her mind she heard the person's screams of terror and begging for rescue. Then it was dark once again before suddenly Eva felt cool night air sting her skin; who ever it was asking for help was now partially naked.
She felt a hard impact on her side of her face; the cold pavement. She was on the pavement face down onto the cold concrete; restrained by unknown people and multiple hands. Then the worst happened as Eva felt sudden intrusion in her pussy; shooting pain through her body. It wasn't Eva's body but she could feel every bit of what was happening through her mind.
Then a small, desperate voice rung out in Eva's mind calling for help "Please! Anyone... help me!"
Then before Eva could talk back to the person hoping to get a location from her; Eva felt another wave of pain but this time it was heavily mixed with pleasure. This time Eva felt her own body react to the pleasure and felt her pussy starting to get wet from it.
Repulsed by it Eva pushed away from the bar counter and heard Marco yelp in surprise at the sudden movement from her "You okay, Ms. Eva?" But Eva was already off the bar stool she was sitting on and was blindly heading towards the exit. She definitely bumped into someone on the way along with a quick grope of her chest though she had more pressing matters on her mind. As she side stepped the person she bumped into she heard a man's voice talking to someone else "Oh yeah! I told you they weren't fake! You guys owe me five bucks each!"
Eva didn't care about any of it as she went out the door and onto the cold streets of the city hoping to get any signs of where the person was being attacked. Despite having denied her instincts to keep going as a heroine for Erik's sake; for the first time in years Eva felt like she was truly needed by someone.
With determination Eva looked around to find a high point to focus her abilities; seeing a clock tower through hazy vision Eva lunged towards it in a graceful jump. She hoped that it was dark enough for anyone to notice her or even recognize her. Just when she landed on the ledge of the bell tower Eva felt another psychic wave of images and impulse; another wave of pleasure mixed with pain as the feeling of something moving inside her pussy kept growing stronger.
It felt like Eva was being fucked despite being safe physically. She had to grab onto a wall to steady herself as the pleasure suddenly became unbearable for her. Then Eva felt an orgasm hit leaving her unsteady on her feet; legs wobbling. An involuntary moan escaping her lips as she tried to fight the sensation with all her might and failing miserably. Not wearing panties due to Jax's request Eva felt wetness drip down between her thighs and felt a huge wave of shame come over her which was definitely her own.
Just when Eva was going to jump into action and try to locate the woman she felt a pretty brutal thrust and felt that her mind passenger just experience a massive orgasm; which in turn left Eva crumbling down to the ground. Eva felt anger as she got back to her feet but focused her listening ability to hear anything around her; she heard a woman's scream about three blocks away from her and without a thought she rushed to the woman's aid.
Something about that last orgasm had felt different though. Eva sensed something like a switch had flipped inside that woman's mind. As Eva jumped off of rooftops in quick succession to reach the woman in danger she thought about what had felt different. In her mind the presence of that woman reaching out for help was fresh and took priority yet now giving it more thought Eva realized that the way the cock had hit her womb had felt different as if mere touch of that cock onto the entrance of the womb had triggered something.
Though Eva had to put all those thoughts out of her mind for now as she felt the woman's presence in her mind was quickly fading away. When Eva finally reached a rooftop from where she could finally get a situational awareness of the whole thing; the woman was complete gone from her mind. That could only mean that the woman was either unconscious or injured. Eva needed to be there; she needed to save whoever it was! But what would happen when she did save the person? What was going to happen then?
Eva focused instead on the scene before her. There was a rusty looking car parked in the middle of an alley with it's trunk popped open. Just a few feet away from the car though there were three people. One man was standing with his back to the car keeping watch around them. While the other man was laying on top of a woman who seemed to be still. Eva peered through the darkness with her abilities and was horrified to notice the woman was dressed in black latex suit from head to toe except holes cut out for her nose and mouth. Her hair were in a pony tail tightly bound up and poking out from under another hole in the gimp suit. There was another huge opening in the suit at her crotch which the man was using to fuck her senseless.
Eva had to fight her initial instincts to unleash her wrath on those two guys to free the woman yet her years of training with the league kicked in making her realize she needed to protect her own identity if she hoped to keep the woman safe after saving her from them. In a matter of moments Eva had formulated a plan in her mind. Taking out two common thugs was easy for her without them ever seeing her coming their way; though taking her home and risk leading anyone tracking the woman straight to Eva's home would be dumb. Eva would have to get the woman to a safe, neutral location that no one could connect to anyone - The Shadow's old hideout which wasn't far away from here, under an old and abandoned warehouse. With that all that was left to do was tear these assholes apart and rescue the woman.
