Thanks for dropping by my story page. I like to write for pleasure, mine and hopefully yours. I still have many story ideas, I'm just excellent at procrastinating, even when I do get time to write. So, my dear readers, please be patient.
A quick word about typos: they are probably my biggest frustration of publishing. I try hard to find them and read through every story at least twice before submitting. Yet I’ve found the best way to discover a typo or error is to publish.
See my profile pic - that's an AI's interpretation of Gisela and Alfred from Prussian Blue. It's not perfect, but it's pretty close to how I imagined them.
My most recently published story, Strum, is a stand-alone sequel of Girl in a Rock Show.
To readers who shared personal connections to themes, elements and events in Armistice Day and Prussian Blue, plus another story, One Night in Sydney Cove, thank you for sharing a little of your history, it’s a humbling experience to see people feel strong enough about something I've written to share their connections.
My story, A Pair of Lost Socks, is a companion piece to an earlier story, Heather’s Exquisite Map of Tassie. Both stories can, however, be read as stand-alone stories.
Check out When We Were Young – a tale about first love lost then found again. That particular story really came alive for me as I wrote it, and perhaps it will come alive for you too.
