BLEEDING OUT
Memories split like razors across my back
Crimson screams that turn my soul black
In the name of love I bleed again
My blinded eyes to the wages of sin
A fistful of rage strikes my boyish face
Hammering down at a furious pace
Like a mouse at the end of the chase
I dangle from the jaws of disgrace
Each memory I seem to file away
Like morbid trophies for a rainy day
When clouds reflect my blackened soul
Like a gunman on a grassy knoll
A smile and a wink to put on a shine
To prove to the world that I'm just fine
Song and a dance to erase all doubt
So that no one knows that I'm bleeding out...
