Click hereThe air was so clear and cold,
And the night lit in a bath of silver and blue white.
It's magical light filled heart and soul,
The moon resplendent in loving lunar light.
Forever lovers in darkness dependant,
The orb, so cold but lights hot
lust and dreams,
and thinking not.
When grabbing hands,
so hot and covetous,
Speak in silent screams and lonely dreams,
All caution damned,
And hot bodies twine in lushness,
As long as love is hand to hand.
But still bathed in the icy moonlight.
Yes fire and ice,
A romantic comedy,
Played by lovers on a cold winter night.
Will true love receive this lunar remedy?
Or just lust, consume the lovers,
in the pale lunar light?
But whatever notion,
Considering the powerful lunar potion,
Will the fire of sexy emotion,
Result in eternal devotion...
At the end of the trusting and thrusting,
Will there be caring and sharing?
Or all of heat of grabbing and lusting,
No eyes of love staring and pairing,
But just a promise and a lie,
A broken heart
And quick goodbye.
To get on home and then to cry.
Cause moonlight is dangerous to the eye,
And hearts can break from sigh to sigh.
Remember this on moonlit nights,
If you don't want things go too deep,
Cause broken hearts are not alright,
And moonlit lovers just might play for keeps.

In case any of you are wondering, no I did not write this poem as a companion piece to "Stonecutter". I wrote this poem two years ago, August, '18. But it just so happens to kind of fold in nicely to that storyline. I wish I had planned that, but I did not. I hope you like the imagery.
