The writing style and how the words are woven together to paint a vivid picture and elicit feelings is great. But if I'm honest with myself, I still can't fully get into Vivian and Ari. Yes, it worked out well for the four of them in the end, but Vivian and Ari were foul! Sometimes it's not what you do but how you do it and those two were a shitty mess. That's all I got to say about that along with the fact, I skim past most of the parts that have to do with them. I take my scarf (and hat) off to all the Kate's of the world who endure(d) such pain and betrayal. Yeah yeah, I know, if Kate can get over it so can I. It just takes some of us longer than others, and trust, I do understand the "logic." Well on to part 7.
But I refuse to read the parts about Viv and Ari, I just want them to go away - and take Brenda with them!
All i can say to Brenda is Grrrr. The slow burn to Kate and Meg's lovemaking, is torturing ME! (LoL) Kate is so patient.... V and A on the other hand...... sigh!

I don't agree that Kate didn't see what Viv saw, just that she was too kind to take advantage of a traumatized girl. If Ari had ever come to Kate and said she needed a stronger hand Kate would have been glad to do it.
Viv and Ari still disgust me, I can't even read their sex scenes, can't stand seeing them happy! Keep hoping that Ari will knuckle under to her parents, or that Viv had rejected the idea of kids, ANYTHING that would through a monkey wrench into their relationship.
I hope that I am not going to seem offensive or bigoted myself. When I watch ostensibly lesbian porn, the scenes with one of the women using a strap-on just make me giggle. And giving a plastic cock a blowjob just makes me break out laughing.
I remember some years ago, a small dinner party my wife and I had for some of the other board members of the local NOW chapter. At least a couple of the women were lesbians and the other women including my wife were curious but then so was I.

Another brilliant chapter. Thank you. One of the signs of a great writer is her/his ability to make the characters believable. When the readership is still arguing and expressing their various opinions in a story this long then the author is truly gifted and can take pride in her work. Has any one considered, that by segueing between Kate and Meg and Viv and Ari, Dru is trying is trying to show different types of lovers ( Lesbian/Straight and Dom/Sub) face similar problems within a relationship and how they deal with the broad spectrum of attitudes from the community affect and reflect us all? I am anxiously awaiting the next chapter. ChristieP
