Hair like raven's wings and silk
A face as soft and white as milk
A short black skirt to match the hair
Leaving her long, smooth legs bare
Lips and inviting crimson shade
and eyes that make the whole world fade
away
-really old; wrote this for a lovely underclassman during lunch one day back in high school.

I think the "away" is unnecessary, upon reading a few times I get the meaning of "fade" without the away. Excellent piece though. Did you ever share it with her?
