but I also wonder about the vivid flamboyancy of the colors when the poem seems to express subtle and private emotions. Perhaps it serves as some contrast or comparison?
I confess I am puzzled by the illustration: it is bright, cheery and loud, yet the poem seems to be about whispers and feelings left in shadow. Is the contrast deliberate?
