Click hereGiselle might have wanted to keep her sexual orientation a secret but her extramarital activities became very public around the time of the separation. In Ardmore, the news spread in days. By the time the divorce was final she had moved miles away.
Years later she did apologize to both Gary and Leo for her affair. There was no mention by her of any other lovers. That view of her world was in conflict with at least two other women who later claimed liaisons. Even so, her relationship with Leo is improving, and we continue to encourage him to see her more often.
It took almost a year before Gary began dating again. Lit and I spent much of that time trying to set him up on a semi-blind date with Sydney Caldwell. We suspected those two would hit it off, and they did. For my part I never imagined I would conspire with my wife to become a matchmaker. Lit still teases me about how easily she led me through the process.
To make a long story short, Gary and Sydney are very happily married now and Leo has two little sisters he absolutely adores.
As for our immediate family, both our children are out of the house. Allie is working as an engineer in Philly and has an apartment there. She also recently became engaged (to Jocelyn's cousin). Drew is the starting shortstop at GW. He will be a senior next year and must decide if he wants to pursue baseball as a career. If not, he says he wants to teach, which made Papa take notice.
I gave up my quest for my doctorate. It was taking too much time away from Lit, and these days every minute with her is precious to me. She has been cancer free for five years but there are no guarantees. The disease cost her left breast.
We did encounter a problem with our insurance coverage related to the type of reconstruction we wanted. Our carriers refused to pay the total cost of the procedures. Fortunately, we had this very, very large cache of funds available for such a purpose. It seems that my wife consulted with one of my sisters (I can only guess which one) before accepting Cassie's investment opportunity. In hindsight I am very glad that she did.
While they can do wonders with reconstruction these days, there was scaring. It's less pronounced now, but it will always be there. Lit knows and she stopped caring about it...and of course I never did.
Yawn! Just too long winded. Could have cut down a page or two if the MC had just asked one simple question of his wife…. “what the fuck were you doing in the woods?” LOL! Thank you for not trying to get us to accept infidelity. I wasn’t sure where the story was headed after the first section, but you came through in the end. 3-stars.
I don't know, a lot of talk that went nowhere. I guess it is ok for the wife to just lie about shit with no repercussions.
I enjoyed the beginning and the middle a lot more then the ending. The ending was so anticlimactic,,, was just disappointing.
The other parts were really good.
Jesus this dude is stupid,(Lit?), has been lying to him the whole story. Damn , it shouldn't taken that long to get her side of the story. Why didn't he just go to the hospital and just fucking ask her what happened. I mean all this build up to get her side of the story, and I was just " I went camping with my gay friend to look at her scars and that's it"
One of my favorite stories on the site. If you (the author) ever get to read this comment, then many, many thanks!
Did we ever find out why Adrienne's nickname was Lit?
I guess all's well that ends well but, there really should be some serious trust issues between David and Adrienne. Never told him Jane was gay. Never told him about Jane having breast cancer. Intentionally deceived him about going to the conference when she was really spending the time with Jane. Had been communicating with Cassie and had a large amount of $ from their investment she never told him about. Told Jane about her own breast cancer before telling David.
They might have all seemed like good, benevolent reasons to Adrienne but, the fact is she lies to and hides a lot from David. How does he truly get over how often and for how long she's been so dishonest with him?
Great story with complex characterization. Thought Chapters 1 and 4 were very tight and well designed and emotionally taut. Chapters 2 and 3, less so but still interesting. Like the misdirection with Giselle. And love the very final sentence. Great ending. Giselle was a royal piece if work. Seducing Jane while married to Gary, then breaking it off when Jane has been diagnosed with breast cancer, Jane almost commits suicide as she loved Giselle, then Giselle recently reconnects, restaring the affair (maybe not yet back in bed, but still). Giselle sounds a like a classic narcissist. Poor Gary and Leo. I like the MC's comment about Jane. He didn't know she was lesbian but he knew that regardless of her sexual proclivities, she had an affair several years ago with someone who was married. Felt bad for Jane's parents due to a brutal, hate crime based on misinterpretation of the events at thr camp site.
It was an amazing narrative that was filled with an unpredictable and complicated plot.
What an imagination and creative tapestry of colors and emotions.
Characters were rich in depth and diversity.
I am in awe of your talent and compassion.
A great, well constructed story. Easy 5 stars.
Glad I read it but it is one I have no wish to ever come back to. There are several in that cateory on Literotica as far as I am concerned.
Still amused by the many commentators who demand any story posted in LW has been blessed by Eros.

If only you had 😱

Seriously….while we’ll written, the “reveal” of the source problem was rather boring. In addition….why he took so fucking long to talk to “Lit” about her and Jane just never made sense.
