Weird and funny. And redemptive! Marc listens to his better angels (or therapods, as it were) and becomes a better person all around. That's even more unusual for this genre than the dinosaur!
As amusing as this was, what is next? Will Marc be taken by aliens for future study to determine if he is a typical human male or a deviant to the norm? 😂
Interesting sequel to the tale and very good. Personally I would still like either Karma or Saddletramp1956's Dr. A to exact vengeance on Mark for a very long time.

As far as February sucks story’s go. This one is decent. Don’t know if I believe the plot device that LaVallieres car crash is what caused Jim and Linda to stay together. I doubt all but the most pathetic of men would stay with Linda after what she did to her husband.
But oh well. People can dream I guess.

Wht in heaven did Marc and Jim's family became friends. It was not only Jim's marriage Marc destroyed he should have made friends with most of the betrayed husbands. And I'm not big on time travel as I believe this world will end. Having time travel capability would put history in an eternal loop absolutely impossible

If a FebSux story doesn’t end in divorce then it’s a shit story, as amusing as this was it still didn’t end right.
I was hoping for the dinosaur version of this tale. I can only hope the dragon version will come sooner rather than later.
I had no idea how to rate this story. I mean, it is very off the wall. I was all the way from three stars, my initial impression, to five. For such a weird story, I settled on Four stars.
As for the results of time travel, eggs removal would likely not have had a deleterious effect on the timeline, because the eggs theft took place during prehistory, and before the extinction of dinosaurs. But the accident of Marc's car caused a widespread and rippling change to the timeline going forward. Some good things have resulted, but some bad things as well. (Butterfly wings)
BTW, I look forward to the endless variety of FebSux alternates and continuations. So sue me.

In the final analysis, though, this proved out to be the ultimate cause of their former extinction...temporal over-harvesting!)

Not good.. Instead of being sorry, Linda was ready for second rendezpus. The induced accident only prevented that. So husband Jim cannot reconcile with her and believe her.

No. Just no. What Linda did to Jim was UNFORGIVABLE. A handful of these offshoots make Jim a pitiful cuck. This is another one. 2 stars only because of the uniqueness of the time travel element.
I liked the time travel bit. Did they allow him into their lives to be with his kids? Jim forgave her for having Marc's kids? Hard to believe how much of a cuck this story made Jim.

Humorous, well-written, touching and creative. Time travel being notoriously tricky, I wonder why Tommy and Emma couldn’t go back a little further and prevent the original disaster at Morrison’s the same way they interceded to prevent the second assignation? Lavalliere could still have founded his Wheelchair Football charity and Susan and Michael could have still been born. See? Time travel leads to so many “what ifs”! And hey, maybe history could have recorded an incident in Germany where an obscure German paper-hanger was killed when he thought he was being chased by a feathered dinosaur… oh, man, now you got me going right down the rabbit hole! Thank you for a fine story.

Really? Why wouldn't Jim simply slip into the hospital once he heard about Marc's car accident... then go to the hospital bed and piss all over his face! Forgive him? LOL. If he did then Jim simply proves how much of a pathetic, weak, cuck he was.

I should say, I do love most Feb stories and I do love time travel stories so yeah, enjoyed this one.
Cute idea for a Feb. Sucks story, but you just demonstrated how Linda was truly a selfish slut, that she would even consider getting together with Marc again, for any reason after causing so much damage to her marriage already. She clearly was willing to again throw away her marriage for "a cup of coffee".
Another reason I didn't love this story is that the Feb. Sucks stories should never end in a RAAC. And to suggest that Jim forgave Marc, who's whole goal was to cuckold Jim ... twice, is beyond belief in my world.
Finally, why would the two children go back in time to prevent the 2nd meeting of their mom and Marc. Why not stop the first mtg/seduction/cheating? That doesn't necessarily prevent Susan and Michael from coming into existance.

Ahhh! You fooled me! I was expecting a weirder time travel paradox, and you got me with the bait-and-switch from dino eggs to unintended consequences, as in "there's many a slip twixt the cup and the lip." By far the wryest version of the February Sucks stories.
Because it's so different, it reminds me of the very first sex-oriented time travel story I ever read, decades and decades ago. A time traveler decides for reasons I don't recall to kill his father just before the time traveler would have been conceived. The guy comes back to the present and lo-and-behold, he still exists! The last lines are:
"'Well, I'll be a son of a bitch.' And in a manner of speaking, he was."
Not bad, pretty funny actually. I give points for the dimosaur being portrayed accurately ( dinosaurs did not go extinct, birds are the most successful species of dinosaur, anyone who has ever had a parrot could tell you that), and having professor Gordon Lightfoot ( discoverer of the Edmund-Fitzgerald contraction) .
Diddly-poop! The Marc deVallier in this story was switched at birth with the real Marc. This is definitely a different ending to the original February Sucks. But give readers a break. MattblackUK may as welll had Maec spirited away by alien abduction.
Great view of the subject, 5* ! After this, you deserve a nice cool Lager and a steak & onion pie. And if you are in the north near Old Colwyn, you could perhaps, lift your glass. "CHEERS MATE" 🙂 Have family spread from there to Warrington in Cheshire. Used to run along the Prom from Old Colwyn towards Llandudno and returned. Part of my military training. Ha ha remembered once I surprised my wife by walking down to the beach and came up behind her in my Class A US Army uniform. She was wondering why people were looking at her. Reconciliation was bad enough. Having Marc become the beloved uncle was a bridge too far. You took a bad story and shoved it down into the fetid refuse at the bottom of the barrel.
Odd but entertaining story, still disappointed has I usually enjoy your stories, it’s been touched on already. Why did the kids of Jim and Linda travel back in time to stop a second meeting between Marc and Linda when with that technology they could have travelled back to the original event and stopped it?
Considering all the pain, hurt and humiliation dumped on their father that night and in the months / years (really it would have taken years to get over that and repair the marriage, if Jim could have even done that) surely his kids who you would think would want to save their father from that and the damage the original event did to the family would want to do that for him.
But instead they decide to stop a second event, we’re Linda had arranged to meet Marc against n (showing Jim was wrong to forgive her anyway) - they must have been more for their mother has they let her keep the memory of the fantastic night she had and the ‘best sec of her life’. Says a lot about Jim’s kids!!
So, no for me it’s just a no, I don’t think Jim would or should of forgiven her for that night, and if he learnt what his kids did I think he’d also question why the second event and not the first before kicking his treacherous kids to the side.
