I love a good btb, this guys comeuppance was too quick. His fear and terror in his final moments was good but still way too quick.
And I think that Greta will be put down, reasons be damned if a dog murders a human I think the protocol is to have them killed. I get that this is a flash story but there were bones for a much more fleshed out tale.
Clearly Julien was an asshole, sooner or later he'd be the asshole he always was to her, but I guess she'd forgive him constantly til she couldn't anymore. I'd have rather her live with the consequences of her decisions without the risk of Aaron going to prison or Greta being put down.
Not how that works at all. The more likely outcome is pretty much just as the husband said: it's her word against his and even if he's not the best actor no one can prove it was murder under these circumstances. This is what happens when you plot and scheme behind someone's back. If it all falls apart, anyone who looks is only gonna find that YOU held all the cards at the time of the incident and tried to ambush an unwitting victim. There's nothing on him but the word of a woman with a very long history of lying. Yes, the intruder was invited by the wife so he would be considered a guest in the eyes of the law. BUT, he was a total unknown to the husband and the dog and that was intentional.
The dog would likely be kept for observation and tested for rabies due to the extreme violence, even if that's what she was trained for and she had no previous record of attacks, then released back to her owner in a matter of days. The husband would be able to start his own business with the amount of requests he'd get to train people's dogs and wifey would fade into obscurity, living a miserable life of her own making, bursting into tears every time she heard a dog bark.

Dark tale but I loved it! In the real world it would come down to who was believed. Since hubby had not been served and he couldn't know who Julien was, his story could hold up, same way if he shot him, assuming he was an intruder.

Fast paced and brutal executed (sorry for the pun), how a person can lose everything even his sanity and morals after the actions of other even more morally lacking.
If anything Greta its the innocent here and probably the one that will be punished by the actions of her master.
The story was different, maybe a little too strong for those pacifists sadly populating the earth and enjoying the freedom others earned for them. But obviously, not for me. The two lovers well deserved what they got. Thanks for the story.
You take things to an edge, a strident conclusion, that most of the authors on this site simply lack "the balls" for. And I realize that some of the woman authors have a strength and grit that easily overwhelms the panty-waist male authors masquerading as men.

The MC in this story committed murder. It was unpremeditated, and it was provoked by two people who conspired, planned, then stole seven years of his married life, because they held him in complete contempt, and took advantage of the power and circumstances that they held over him. So the MC took advantage of the power and circumstance that he had at that moment to wreak revenge. Of course it was wrong, unjustifiable, but completely understandable. That's the edge, the razor edge that you are not afraid to tread. You of course are in rather good company.

In the "Cask Of Amontillado" Edgar Alan Poe has his wife's lover drinking her shit and her piss that her corpse would excrete into the cask in which the husband had drowned her, where she was now soaking. The payback was so obvious, so piquant, that Poe didn't even need to point out what the cask now contained beyond his drowned wife, which he displays to her lover before he completes his revenge. You emulate Poe's symbolism when you have the dog licking the wife with the remnants of her lover's throat on the dogs tongue. Schweet.

Well, from time to time a "funny" BTB, among the endless daily flow of cuck nonsense tales, is really needed, even though this was more a Burn The Bastard (or a Bite from The Bitch ?). Too bad that this was a short, but really well written, tale: maybe, next time, a longer plot would be more satisfying. Anyway, a 5* full earned.

Short and sweet. I think this and 's "Instrument of Vengeance" are probably two of the best BTB stories out there.
Condoning and fetishizing murder is warped. Not an entertaining story in any way.
If he thinks he is getting away without prison time, I suspect he is in for a rude surprise. Timelines when the truck parked and when he called the police—assuming they live in suburbia. And the fact she has his blood on her face. A man is dead; there is a witness, unaccounted for time, and weird blood trails. The corpse looks wrong for an intruder, will not match the DNA in the rest of the house. Yeah, our protagonist is goi g to get hammered….

I hate that I love it. My mind might dream up stuff like this, but it takes cohones to put it out there. I don't care that there is no clean legal path. Loved it. Not sure why we have the moral brigade talking about murder being to far. Half the stories on this site go a lot darker than this. Not sure when we started believing as a society you can come in another mans home disrespect and steal from him and said douche bag should expect some level of safety.

Jeez, people. It's a STORY. Everyone seems to have sand in their knickers over a fictional tale. Author said it UP FRONT: Graphic violence. Intentionally over the top for a story theme, even.
Seems like if he could have recorded their encounter he could have gotten the marriage annulled. One commenter noted that castration via canine companion would have been interesting. Story did make for some interesting reading.
Good story that is just believable enough to be scary. It's a shame he would sacrifice his beloved dog for a bit of revenge. Any dog ordered to kill would be put down. His little justification at the end wouldn't save her or him. He ordered the dog to attack an unarmed person. Death for her and prison for him. I think he would still be satisfied with the results.
I'm normally a big fan of your work NTH, but i have some issues with this one... 1) The husband still ends up in prison. 2) He's just sealed the fate of his dog. Would surely be euthanised.

Now that is a story worthy of a part 2 just to find out if the husband gets away with it . She deserves everything she gets the two timing bitch . Got this funny feeling the dog will be put down but trouble was she was defending her master from an unknown enemy lol . So great read can’t wait for either another chapter of this excellent story or more stories from yourself so definitely keep on writing just to prove that cheaters never win lol.

His word vs hers doesn't really work when he's unscathed and the other guy is dead -- by his dog. That means the dog was trained to act that way, which means his dog will be put down for his actions. So much for loving his dog.
Never could get off on extreme violence even though it is just a story. I think less of people who think it was entertaining.

I know these are supposed to be dark and gritty, but outright murder?
Not my cup of tea. I like the ending of Prince Charming dumping her ass in 8 years, meanwhile, the hero boy gets married and has kids. She now has nothing and nobody.
I enjoyed it as a "red rage" moment, what the law calls "extreme emotional distress." Makes one do things when rational reasoning might indicate another course of action. The lesson for wifey and her boyfriend is FAFO. Even if Aaron goes to jail, he's had his revenge. Spray-tan guy is still very dead, and Kelsey has no more boyfriend. So Aaron didn't completely lose -- sometimes a Pyrrhic victory is the best you get.
That said, it's fiction people. Satisfying in a way, but still fiction. Neither of the professional trainers I know teach a K9 or protective dog to rip out throats. Clam on a calf, buttocks, right arm, yes. Throat, not so much. Although if the dog's human partner was down and out of the fight, some can get hyper-aggressive.
WOULD he go to jail ? In NY City, yes. In Los Angeles, yes. It's not like he's a shoplifter or looter, the kind the DA's in those places SUPPORT. Other places ? Maybe yes, maybe no. But that's not actually the point of this short.
And any time pussies call people "incel" you know they have no real argument or valid critique. It's like "WHITE SUPREMACIST!" "RACIST!" etc with ZERO facts or other observations to back it up -- the WAAH!!! of a toddler having a tantrum.
That's completely UNLIKE nickbgb's cogent criticism of Aaron's actions. I agree with him that the dog will be euthed, which is sad. But Greta rid the planet of a world-class asshole, so that was something. Her life served a good purpose, more than many pets can say at the end of their life.

There's a long-drawn-out aftermath here. Our narrator is not-guilty criminally, but Daddy sues for wrongful death; Greta gets put down for being a "dangerous animal"; the divorce trudges forward. None of that as entertaining as the part we saw. At least Douchenozzle will still be dead.

Loved the story but like others said the poor dog is the one that is likely the one to suffer. He might getaway with saying the two lovers were embraced as he walked into the room.The dog was very antsy so he knew something was wrong. Still a 5 star story.
Not that the shit heads didn’t deserve it, but it was not a cool thing to do to a loyal loving dog. I mean, who knows what terrible diseases Greta may have contracted!

There might be a lawsuit, but parents may not have standing since douche nozzle was in his late 20s. Plus, that's why you have homeowners insurance. Then the Civil liability jury would take into account the belief of self defense and the credibility of a cheating slut wife. Overall, thanks for the story!
