If you're telling your kid the story of how things happened in order for his parents to get together, why in the fuck would it be important for him to know the details of everyone you both fucked when you weren't even together? This is filler. It's waste. And you leave so many things unexplained. We still don't even know anything about your main characters except what their jobs are, apparently Shelley paints and it makes her horny for some (again) unexplained reason, and they're whores. If you're trying to write a story people should feel invested in while they read it, you're failing miserably.
