Kelsey's World Ch. 42

While the action was centered on that side of the room, Kelsey sat in a big upholstered chair, sipping on a manhattan. She was alone for the first time all night, and the lovely orgy noises took her mind back to the past, back to Brie's pool, to one of those endless, hazy summer days of her youth. Raymond was there, looking so young and innocent, with his nerd glasses on his face and his swimsuit down around his ankles. "Oh, Hi, Honey," Kelsey said, startled out of her dreamy memory by Austin's gentle kiss. "I was just thinking about Raymond. I miss him so."

"I know," Austin said, sitting on the arm of the big chair, holding Kelsey's hand. "We all do. Have you heard from Emberly lately?"

"Yes, I told you, remember? When Kelly became a grandmother?"

"Oh, right," Austin said. "She seems too young to be a grandmother already."

"I know," Kelsey said.

The front door opened and a single woman walked in out of the cold. It was the wee hours of the morning, and she looked nervous about where she was. She was newly divorced, had been at another, non Sexual New Years Eve party where she'd had a few drinks, and on her way home had decided to have a look at the legendary party at Jonston House. She'd heard about it for years, but had always been too shy to attend.

"Another new face," Kelsey said to Austin. "This is a wonderful night." She patted his warm hand, got up from the comfortable chair and walked over to the woman, extending her arms for a warm hand-hold with the nervous stranger. She smiled her beautiful, magical smile, and the woman's eyes brightened when she realized who was greeting her.

"Hi. I'm Kelsey."
