God’s tears slide down my window
Essence of his pain
Oily puddles lie
In filthy pavement hollows
Yawning reflections
Spring bulbs closed tightly
Asleep, unwilling to smile
Under frowning sky
Insipid grey light
Weakly steals through angry clouds
Casting long shadows
Painting ochre strokes
Refracting the silver drops
Beautiful rainbows
A splash of cobalt
Cerulean sky peeks through
Sunlight shines anew
Payne’s grey washed away
