I disagree that we need more detail. It's a vignette, a scene from a life. Why do you need more. So you can hate her & despise her more?

You have a gifted mind. A writer so keenly aware of how people driven to debase themselves think and rationalize is a rare person.

This was a short piece of fiction but enjoyable just the same.
