I have read this story twice in recent months and enjoyed it each time.
It is high quality writing with good plotlines, superb dialogue and sympathetic characters with all their strengths and flaws.
I enjoy a "slow burn" romance and this is one of the best I have read.
The last two chapters are, however, a let down and not up to the high standard of preceding ones. The breakdown seems artificial, the discussion with Eric unlikely and the reconciliation simply rushed and replete with loose ends.
Still worth 5 stars and it is a shame this is the last posting from the author - I hope he has moved on due to good reasons not bad.
I have reread this story several times now and I still never tire of it. I am still hoping to see a companion to this story as you suggested at the end of the story. Please let it happen.
It was a very good story. Parts I really loved and some parts I didn’t think were realistic or I simply didn’t care for. But it seems the author’s intended promises for a sequel to flesh out Evan’s POV never came to pass as it’s been 4-5 years since then. And the Book 3 about Jake never happened either. That’s a real shame. Would’ve enjoyed reading more of your stories about these characters.
Did you ever end up writing it? I just re read this story and great enjoyed it again:)
