"I was thinking the same thing."
"Are you using me Steven?"
"Hardly, but would it matter if I was?"
"No," I giggled. "I like being used by you."
"Good," Steven said. Then looking around the cabin he whispered, "You know the sign for the lavatory cubical says 'vacant'. Why don't you go in and wait for me?"
"Two fantasies in one week," I told him. "I am a lucky girl..."

APD
Another, highly entertaining (Five Star) episode.
I don't share Lee's misgivings about Lesley's attitude, because she confides her 'infatuations' with other men, with Steven.
(Just as a point of information: in the opening paragraph to episode 45, Lesley says that the first time she went to America was to go to visit the ranch in Colorado; but avid readers will know that she had previously been to New York with Daniel - Episode 34, I think.)
A Philosophical Doctor
Thank you sir for another great installment of the Steven and Lesley adventure. Life has been busy of late and I've been meaning to re-read Ch. 44 and just haven't gotten around to it yet and then this chapter dropped (believe I am not complaining here). So I quickly read the last few paragraphs of Ch. 44 to refresh the old memory before starting this one.
I was glad to see that Lesley was able to point out to Steven that his "Work-life balance" was leaning heavily on the work side of things. But even more impressed with Steven when he commented to Lesley, just tell me you want to move to the country and we will. I'll be the first to admit it, but that hit me in the heart strings.
Maybe because the last few chapters have been written from Lesley's perspective, but something to me isn't sitting right with her. She's coming across as really being selfish I feel. Maybe it's just me. She says she loves Steven and that he's the most important person in her life, but now she's keeping in touch with this Jason character. There's Daniel. Maybe I'm just reading too much into it or it's my wild imagination running wild, but it doesn't feel right to me. Only time will tell.
Thank you again though for this chapter. Folks, this is by far the best series on Lit. You have to go back and re-read all the chapters in order to really appreciate it. Yes it's long, but definitely work it. Trust me.
Thank you, Lee
