It's difficult to navigate the larger site as well. I've learned a few tricks to get your site to perform, but i still get lost!

you need to make it easier to navigate between pages of stories, like buttons at the top of the page. As it is, whenever i go back and forth within a story i have to scroll scroll scroll.

The font keeps reverting back to default tiny size is I leave the page and come back. The only place to reset it is on the first page of the story. Frustrating.

When in landscape orientation, the Info block steals room on the right side of the page - ALL pages - even though the beta option is turned off. Sorry, but I want to use all the landscape area for text, in the same manner as the portrait orientation. Please undo this new "feature".

Agree with the commenters before me. An ability to search and a scroll option to read the story in one go instead of jumping 1, 2, 3 pages, it disrupts the reading rhythm.

Where you first list the stories, could you please list the size with each of the stories?

i often listen to the stories using ai readers, it would be great if it were possible to read the stories without needing to click and open new pages....so my request would be scrolling full stories on one page as an option

You need to put a way to search for stories like your phone app has. There is no way to search from computer

I enjoy reading the stories. I have a suggestion I think would help readers read series of stories instead of having to flip through pages to find the next part is the use of a search engine this way you just need to type in the title of the story you're reading it will make reading more enjoyable.

On my droid phone, i used to be able to use my text to voice feature and it would read the whole page while i am driving... or other hands free activities. but now it only reads one paragraph and i have to keep swiping and scrolling for every paragraph. in other wards, you killed my text to voice and if i was blind i would really be screwed.

You are doing beta testing and this works on my mobile, but I normally use my Kindle for reading stories on Literotica. As a result of beta testing when I go into Article Mode the article is so small it is barely legible. Clicking on the A symbol does not work. On the web page under PUBLIC BETA the Click here link does not respond either. Have you tried testing Literotica with a Kindle Paperwhite?

What happened to being able to download stories via mp4 to be able to hear them at a convenient time.

If it is still possible, please let us know as I have tried just about everything but may be missing something.

I thought this was an excellent update and message of greetings. It's very positive for us to be in some sense a literary community; this is not unserious. That's all.

Being able to sort the stories under the author by the date so you can read them in order.

Especially when they have a series of stories as they are currently sorted by story name.

The strength of any database is its search engine. Add a filter of gender of author, number of comments, and improve the specificity of putting quotes around a phrase, which is now very weak.

What happened to "My Control Panel"? I liked being able to see my "followed" topics there. And being able to see when I last visited.

I would like the option to hide stories that I’ve either read or that don’t interest me . I use the search button and would like the option of not seeing stories I’ve read and disliked. Or perhaps color code a story based on a thumbs up or down

Hi, it would be good to be able to read the new chapter. it is in the list (Big in Japan) however it is nowhere to be found to read. I have also noticed that some of the old chapters have dropped off. I was going to re read the full story once more but it is now missing chapters.

What you need is a search page to find story titles

I personally think the new layout is a big improvement compared to the old style.

If there are too many stories to read because of a time constraint I would like to copy the entire story at once if possible.

I can read your web pages. They are not squished into a tiny area of the screen. And the font is not microscopically sized. It's WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!!

Comments section gets moved far down the page, since the all of the right side bar gets put in before comments. That seems a mild inconvenience. It's all I could find.

It would be nice to have a login on the top of the home page, the way it is displayed on the /stories in Beta.

It would be nice to see the ratings 1-5 uniformly on story pages. Add to New Stories, etc. The way they appear in the Fetish categories.

Overall, it's really amazing! Go with it!

I have been reading Lit almost since the beginning. I love your site and the dedication to the running of this site.

I would really LOVE to be able to have the option to have either continuous scroll or pages. I'm sure I would only use scroll. It's distracting to have to reach for the mouse to choose the next page.

I would also like to sort stories by date.

Lastly, and perhaps most importantly to me, would be to have the ability to see what stories I've already read. I vote on almost every story I read (rare exceptions I think) and whenever I return to that story, and then go to the last page, I can tell I've read that story because it show how many stars I chose as my vote. So, I know that information is available and retained on my account and should be something that could be used to delineate whether a reader has already read a story when he/she sees it in a list when trying to decide what to read next. There are so many prolific authors that when I return to some of their story list, I can't remember when scrolling through it whether or not I've read certain stories. PLEASE consider this request. :)

GiorgioAdorer - I have the page zoomed (on Chrome) to 200% as this seems the best for my monitor/eyes. I also have Dark mode activated by the 'Dark Reader' Chrome add on.

previous anon - There is a word count in the Story Details section at the top of the first page, although I admit, having a page count would be nice to see before you start a new story/chapter.

I've noticed recently that the 'saving' of the story rating has improved vastly from where it was a few weeks ago when I was waiting for nearly a minute before it saved, but now it's no more than a few seconds. Which is nice.

I really like the new layout tbh but as stated above, I have the page zoomed and I'm running a 3rd party app to activate dark mode just to make the reading experience more comfortable. I would like to see a better search functionality though and when looking at the 'top' lists if they could extend to more than 5 pages, that would be appreciated. Looking through the 'all time' top stories of a genre you miss out on quite a lot of good stories as they aren't on those first 5 pages and there really is no other way of finding them unless you just stumble upon them.

How do we find a certain genre?

Enjoying the new layout, but scoring doesn’t seem to work.

The new layout is much easier to read, and I appreciate it.

However, I'd prefer keeping the option of a "headline" for comments.

The alternative using bold letters

(1) seems not yet implemented, and

(2) is not really accessible for all.

Also I would prefer a preview option.

It would be perfect that while reading you keep scrolling instead of turning pages.

I would like to see the other users who also favourite the same story, just like in the old design. It helps to find similar stories that aren't easy to define or are lacking good rosa-blanca.ru.

I can’t sign into my account since I opted in to the beta about a week ago. Also most of the stories I try and read just come up with internal service error. From a design point of view I don’t like how you can’t go to the oldest comments and read them in chronological order anymore, also don’t like how in similar stories it no longer tells you the author or rating.

Too many server errors when browsing stories. Irregular.

The page presented to d/l has too much technical gibberish.. But hard to find, if at all, author info. Too much deleting needed.

I can not seem to get out of beta.

Would be great if there was a timestamp on this, being able to see when this is from is useful. Also agree on the "already read" feature.

Can't wait until the profiles are also updated with the new look. It's much more modern.

I love this Beta. My eyesight is limited and being able to change the font, size and spacing is wonderful.

Love the new format. No longer have to resize every page. Agree with other comment on some way to indicate stories already read, especially if you rated the story.

Thanks, the font changes are now remembered and automatically sets when opening new story or returning to it later.

We are one's that don't want to register but would like to be able to have the font down to a level that does not hurt our eyes when we can read normal print just fine.

Is there any way to have the stories we have already read show in a different color? Gray maybe?

Not sure if this has got through to you yet but please can you add the file size to the stats you show for individual stories.

I prefer longer stories and it'll make them easier to pick from the search results list.

It way not be a bug, but the font size on the new story page has become so small that I can hardly read anything. The other pages are fine. Is there an option to resize the characters?

At the bottom of each page we have the page number, and the option of clicking next, or another page number.

It would add substantially to my reading enjoyment if this feature ALSO appeared at the TOP of the page.

This because, as one of your older readers, (and particularly when I read a story over a period) I read of a character or event from earlier, and can't remember the context or relevance. I have to search back. Sods Law says I'm near the top of the page. It's a pain!

Firstly like to say thank you for these updates. I've wanted to be able to use italics for ages. I'd also like to second the following suggestions:

1) The option to reorder story lists in date of publication. The current ordering alphabetically is really messy and unclear, especially when an author has a large number of stories. Even better give the author the option of customising the order of their stories this would be really good if for example they write a prequel to an existing set of stories.

2) Allowing authors to edit existing stories to correct typos, spelling mistakes and bad grammar.

Still need a story type filter.

Is there anyway to allow for the author to make minor corrections to a story without having to resubmit the entire story? That is a process that could take several days. It would be a great help to be able to correct spelling or grammar errors found by 'dilligent' readers without the lengthy delay...

I still want a dark mode. It doesn't have to be the default, and I actually think it's best if it's not, but me being able to set it as MY default is what I want.

I also agree with Boratus's first and third suggestions. Setting a page count would be nice too, as well as authors bring able to group stories about a series ordered by date instead of title (for those annoying ones that don't use part/chapter in the right part of the title)

Also, on the category page there're links for More Random stories and More Hall of Fame stories, but not More New stories. Why is that?

When submitting a story it would nice if we could assign it to more than one category. Maybe 3 max so people don't get too carried away.

On the first page of a story, I'd love to see some more details displayed. This can be done neatly I think, without making the page look busy:

- Author's picture beside the username, if one has been submitted to the profile

- Original submission date of the story

- If multi-page, show page count, for example "Page 1 of 8"

- If multi-part, show how many, for example "Part 1 of 6"

- Assuming an average reading speed of 225 words per minute, show a

time-to-read value, like "Estimated reading time: 34 min"

A lot of times I'd like to read for an hour or so before bed. But all too often I get interested in a story that goes on and on, keeping me up till 2 or 3 am, when I had planned on being in bed by 11 pm or so. I'd like to be able to scan an author's story list and see each story's word count listed alongside of its category.

I agree with SKHP that the View All should be oldest-to-newest, or maybe an option. It's definitely a pain right now to have to keep hitting "Show More" until you get back to where you want to be, then start paging up to read the newer ones.

Putting the actual date on the comments would also be helpful.

Please, could we change the font in a more permanent way? Maybe setting up a default in our profile?

I would like to know the sex of the author (if they are willing to give it). Perhaps it can be listed with the title.

Please, not only let us see all comments (similar to the old layout) instead of small doses, but let us read them in the right chronological order: oldest to newest! Some commenters refer to older comments, so it is necessary to have read these to understand the intention.

Please, please, PLEASE give us a view all comments button, similar to the current page.

I don't get to see the new font size controls even after following the instructions, it just saves and stays the same.

Italics are already easy to do. You can insert standard HTML rosa-blanca.ru for that, or submit as a Word/RTF doc with italics and let the site convert it.

It would be nice if you can change the font size on any page. If I am in the middle of a multi page story and close my browser, when I open it back up it reverts to standard font size.

The changes are awesome. I love changing the font size. I just wish it was permanent. If I walk away from a story and come back later, it reverts back to the tiny text. I go back to page 1, change text and then go back. At least I CAN do that, far better than it was before. Nicely done.

The new story page is a nice improvement, but as an author I'd much rather have control of these things (font etc.) myself. Overall, I'd like to see the reading experience more book-like, similiar to the Kindle online reader, with many design decisions handed to the author. It's absurd that there isn't even an easy way to italicise within a submission.

Would be great to have chapter controls, similar to page controls, so once in a chapter we can move forwards or backwards a chapter or all the way back to the start of the story

Font size adjustment is a great addition. But the voting stars no longer work for me.

I would like to see an option to add comments on the mobile app. Curently it's so old that we don't have that option. But it's a great app and hopefully there will be an update for it soon.

I am using the mobile app of LIT, but is hasn't been updated for several years now.

I understand it's not available on iStore and Google Play Store, but you can have it posted on your site as a downloadable file.
