Click hereWhen they were a floor above her and safely away from the rising water, Keona turned her focus downwards and tried to freeze the top layer of water; hoping that it would slow down its speed.
A quick look up confirmed that Riley was nearing the ground floor while Eian and Alex were two or three floors away. Giving one final blast of energy, Keona froze as much water as she could --aware that by doing so, she was putting pressure on the water beneath the solid ice to start chipping away at the shaft's foundation.
Satisfied that she bought them a few more minutes of grace, Keona continued up the flight of stairs; catching up with the others and helping the little girl by carrying her once more. She vaguely heard Riley's yelp of joy as he made it out to safety and then sensed her father's relief at breathing fresh air once more.
But Keona was growing weary. While she could hear Alex urging her to go on, she could feel her body growing weaker by the second. Still, she pushed on until Alex was finally out through the lift opening and she could see the stream of moonlight not too far from reach.
She felt Alex reaching forward to lift the little girl from her back and for that one moment when she was all alone in that lift shaft, Keona felt tears threatening to fall.
It was finally over...
As she reached out a hand to clasp around Alex's wrist, a violent tremor from within the shaft caused her to lose her balance; losing her grip on the bars of the ladder and falling backwards as the walls around her started to collapse.
"Keona! No!" Without thinking, Alex jumped in after her; his only thought to be with his mate, the woman he would rather die with than live without.
"Alex!"
Whatever happened next appeared to be a blur for neither Eian nor Riley was in time to catch Alex but they felt a strong gust of wind moving past them and into the crumbling tunnel of doom.
And then a second later there they were on the patch of grass in front of everyone; clutched around Marine's arms --Alex in one hand, Keona in the other.
"Marine..." Riley wept at the sight of her. In that final moment, he really thought that the two new friends that he had made were really going to die... after all that they had gone through. If Marine had not been quicker, their lives would have been lost for the lift shaft was destroyed completely. All that he could see through the lift opening were rubbles of concrete.
The Alpha was already on his knees, pulling his only daughter into his arms --to hold her for just a little while more. He had brought her into this world and he had no intentions of letting her die before him.
"Daddy... I'm alright... really," she whispered; her face buried at the side of his neck.
"It is... everything's alright now," he whispered back before letting her go slowly. Looking up, Eian saw that the others were gathered around them now:
Mike with Kendall, Riley, Marine and Alaron, Draven, Dominic, Hedva and her team of scientists, the victims of experiments and finally, Alex, Keona and himself.
"It's time to go home now."
This chapter in their lives was over now. Whatever lies in the future... they'll face it when it comes.

Im kinda pissed off that i read this whole series just for it to end like this! Amazing series, but there has to be more, its like you just got sick of writing this story & gave up on it with that ending. There's so many things left unexplained, lets tie up some loose ends!!!! Great story, but a finished product would make it spectacular :)
I have NEVER cried at the ending of a story!!! I was so freaked out thinking Keona and Alex were going to die together that I completely forgot about Marine and her ability. Bravo...VERY WELL DONE
Loved the story. I would love for you to tell more of the children´s stories. Plus, you left a bit of a cliffhanger with the scientist carrying one of the 'experiments.´

I have read all you stories now, and I see how you tied them all in. Great job. I would love to read more about the young ones, and how they have managed to build their lives together.

For a second, I thought that this chapter wasn't the last one -- there's nothing worse than reading through an entire series and then realizing that you can't read the final chapter because it's not there.
love is worth fighting for. Indeed you always get back what you do to others, always! Looking forward to more intense series from you soon. Hevda will come clean, or Keona will sense the implant and cause it to fail-for the hybrid race sake. Connor and Helene will cease to corrupt Any race now. Hatred is such a volatile and draining emotion.
You are a fantastic writer I love your characters especially Keona and Alex. Please create another story I want to see the other hybrid children meeting their mates and they one with mates tackling marriage and children lol. Alaron is hilarious can you do something interesting for him eg twins in the horizon I would love to see him become a pride filled father teaching his sons to become hearth robs and breaking girls hearts. I am interested to know the powers of the other hybrid children and the new pure blood Gabriel. Please dont keep us waiting too long, I need my regular fix of your stories.
Great story, but please don't let anything else like what they just went through come up again! Let Hedva be a good person after all of this and remove the cell she still has so there is no more danger to the kids by anyone! Lots of things they could do if future stories are written without going through all of this again, just in a different time and place.

That was amazing. Very intense and thrilling. Defiantly something I want more of, even if it means reading everything hundreds of times over.
At first, I thought you were going to have these characters, sentimental favorites, used as breeding stock. I was quite upset with that idea. Happily, you had something other in mind. I would like to know how they deal with the aftermath of this experience, and what happens to the rescued prisoners. And Riley has to find a way to atone for his actions if he wants to be accepted by Marine's family, mate or not. Your writing is awesome.
Wait, what about the implant the female scientist talked about? Is she pregnate with some sort of hybrid? Inquiring minds want to know..... What an unbelievable rollcoaster ride.

Will Marine parents especially Aaron allow her to mate with Riley? What happens with Kendall will he be adopted by Mike. please continue on I will be waiting for your next story.
