Click here"I'm so sorry, Aunt V," he said, his voice shaking as the sobs started. "I know I had no right to go through Madi's things. Maybe it was the drinks, I don't know. But I just couldn't resist! They're so pretty! I wanted to be pretty! Just this one time, I wanted to be pretty! I'm so sorry!" Big sobs were wracking his body. He stood there, a few steps from the breakfast bar, a few feet from his aunt. He felt her take the orange juice glass from him, then pull her into her arms.
"It's okay, honey," she said softly. She hugged him to her and patted his back. She could feel his hot tears soaking the front of her shirt. 'I'm sure glad I put a bra on,' she thought to herself. She almost giggle at the thought. Her sweet nephew was breaking down in her arms, and she was worried that her nipples might show if the front of her shirt got wet.
"It's okay that you tried on some of Madi's things. I'm sure she wouldn't mind if she were here to ask."
Kelly sobs were starting to ease up, but he still was having trouble breathing in. "You're not going to tell her, are you?" he asked.
"No, dear, not if you don't want me to. That can be our little secret," she assured him. "Come on, now, let's sit down over here and talk. Honey, you don't have to be embarrassed about it. I remember when you liked to play dress up in your momma's things when you were young. I just didn't know you still liked to." She steered him to the bar stool next to the one she had been sitting on.
Kelly was still sniffling and wiping at tears. He sat down on the bar stool, but he still didn't look up at his aunts face. Aunt V reached in a drawer in the bar and pulled out a box of tissues. "Ready for that cup of coffee now?" she asked.
Kelly nodded. "Yeah, I guess I am."
I wish I had someone like that in my life whom in could trust. Nicely done.
I remember having that conversation and believe me, you don’t stop crying that quickly. I find this story pretty realistic which is nice for a change. Good work.
Very nice! Sweet. I loved his curiosity and fascination. I also enjoyed how he smoked like a woman.
