_Why_ exactly, did you use rugby as your example, when rugby was invented the year after 1844(Source: />
Well Anon it wasn't a question I was expecting to get but let me take a moment to offer an answer. First let's look at your source which in the second sentence states 'Legend claims that rugby football was started circa 1845...'. The use of 'legend' as well as 'circa' would suggest a lack of hard evidence for the specific year in question. However I believe what you are really referring to is the given date of the first written code of rules. I am willing to accept that this date is correct. However if you look at the dateline entry before 1845 from your same source you see it mentions 'Running with the ball became common in 1830s at Rugby School...'. Also using the first source on which your source was based 'Many believe that rugby was born in 1823 when...' and goes on to mention a players disregard for the current rules of football. Besides that we are talking about football which was played at Rugby school and that took place many years before the date of the written code of rules, thus there could be a 'Rugby match' before the first written code of rules of what has become today's game of rugby. But now let's leave the historic aspect for a moment and turn to the literary aspect. I feel most readers aren't likely to have in their heads an exact date for the creation of rugby, and even so would forgive a slight discrepancy. It is however about giving the proper feel of the times. While some would argue use of rugby isn't technically correct, yourself included, it feels more time appropriate in my opinion as well as being British, than if I had just said a football match. So yes I did intentionally drop in 'rugby match'. Also when I had the idea to do so I had already titled the piece so I myself did some research to see if it was plausible to insert a rugby reference. In my opinion it was. And then perhaps we should also just step back a take a moment to realize this is a piece of fiction. Some stories are more realistic than others but they are not real. Hopefully I have answered your question as to why I used rugby as my example.
You have my honest apology if my choice detracted from your enjoyment of the story.
Love interracial femdom stories with white guys being the slaves. Unfortunately very rare to find them. So thank you for this great story.
I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'm still not sure why it has had such little interest compared to the majority of my stories. Maybe the interracial is putting other people off or maybe its something else about what I wrote or how. Still a mystery to me. However I enjoyed writing it and I'm glad some people have enjoyed reading it. Thanks again.
I really liked the story, the subject matter, and the description. Keep up the good work; don’t worry about this story pleasing everyone , there are some people who really enjoy what you write.
Loved the mercilessly severe bondage and submission! The ritual aspects of the scenario add so much to the dramatic tension. I would sign on for future expeditions. in a heartbeat.
Wonder if any survived. Would be interested to know what happened, did any of them make it back home? How did it change their lives? Did they stay prisoners for the rest of their lives? Did our narrator become a favorite of the queen, kept alive, barely, to please her on occasion, the starvation of air finally having an effect on his mental state, finally dieing of old age, with no memory, no thought processes, just a brain dead hulk, a living sex toy.
I stopped at the characterization of "heathen" women..
Such racist and colonialist attitudes have no place here
Loved this story. I wished it was longer, because the setup leaves room for many possibilities, but it worked well as written.
To the previous commenter, the attitudes are those of a character from a time and place where they attitudes were not uncommon. They're not espoused by the author, and the character is not presented as a hero or role model. If you read further, you'll see that those attitudes don't serve him well...
