Click hereIt can never be said you hadn’t tried
When you lay there broke, left a wasted shell.
The thoughts of sorrow and loss Coincide
Your cloud that murk’s the story as you retell
The pain of loss and pride after the night
Its textures are green and red so cement.
But you stand there with no thought of her fright.
Say again? Your blood and money torment!
If words could shake you more than flesh I’d bend!
“She” is too powerful a word hiding
Behind moist flesh that pinkly pretends
To be the pure ever so abiding
Murderer! Such feelings felt are ashen
You can live with your envy and passion!
This poem has infinite undertones of sadness. A certain melancholy pervades this rendering.
Starts out powerfully setting pain's stage
And ends on a low note with its consequences.
