I whisper to an empty pillow.
Silence echoes in my head as I conjure
a picture
of you.
More than mere miles separate us.
A catalogue of circumstance,
doomed romance,
or maybe just fate.
But I love in hope that one day soon
you'll be with me,
to kiss me
before you whisper,
"Goodnight my love."
