The etched slab of his belly,
glazed with sweat from the bout
draws my eyes down,
and I wonder would he let me love him,
mild Patroclus to fierce Achilles,
or does he penetrate only women?
Too shy to ask, I am left
with his poster, one clutched hand,
my opened, empty mouth.
I actually blushed. Haha...this poem has raw sex appeal, its arousing with that certain kind of vulnerability that's appealing. Honestly this is good erotic poetry which I don't get to say often enough and I'd say it even if it weren't addressed to me.
....caught me by surprise. It isn't easy to put the reader in the poet's shoes but you have done that here. The speechless yearning, the wondering never to be answered. Lovely poem. Great line breaks and I too love the reference to Patrocalus' relationship to Achilles. Five.
well written and love the classical reference. Thank you for the read. :-)
