Beatrice hugged her hard and didn't let go.

That night they all celebrated at a local nightclub. They ate, drank and danced. Beatrice wouldn't dance with anyone but Karlene. Karlene felt such pleasure at being able to openly expose her sexual desire and in public. She kissed Beatrice whenever she could to jeers of 'get a room'!

A little tipsy, Karlene insisted Beatrice come home with her. Beatrice grabbed her hand and pulled her outside to the Uber stand. They piled in the back and made out all the way home. Their female driver smiled the whole way and wished them luck when she drove off.

Hand-in-hand Beatrice stared at the massive home in front of her. It was a modern design and gorgeous. Karlene brought her inside and showed her around the eight thousand square feet. The front of the house faced the river with two-story glass walls. Beatrice was running from room to room squealing.

She lost it in the kitchen and couldn't stop gushing over the layout and appliances. Karlene couldn't wait to show her the bedroom. Karlene was overjoyed inside. She had never shown her house to anyone. Beatrice's reactions were better than she had hoped. She watched her running around and stopped fighting her heart. She adored this woman. She loved watching her running around her home and didn't want her to ever leave. It would be empty without her.

She started to cry. She couldn't help it. Her emotions were overwhelmed. She stood and cried and then Beatrice had her in her arms and was kissing her and crying with her. In time they laughed.

"Only two women can cry like that," murmured Beatrice in Karlene's ear. They were curled up together on the couch, in the dimmed living room, looking out at the darkness over the river. This far out of the city meant the stars shone bright.

"I needed that. I like having you here, Beatrice. The house doesn't feel empty anymore."

Beatrice kissed her ear and Karlene shuddered at the pleasure. "I like being here. With you. Thank you for everything. What you did? The company? BK Ventures. Does that mean...?"

"Beatrice and Karlene Ventures," whispered Karlene. It felt good to say it out loud to her.

"Oh my god, Karlene. You're are amazing. What am I going to do with you?"

"You'll think of something. We should have a drink, to celebrate."

"We already did, all night."

"No, celebrate you here in my house, with me in your arms."

Beatrice kissed her neck. "Done, let me get it. Where?"

Karlene pointed roughly at the huge entertainment unit. "In there. Ice in the fridge." Karlene lay back and closed her eyes. She could hear Beatrice puttering about and humming a tuneless song. She heard ice clink and then heard the entertainment unit opening up, cupboard after cupboard. She smiled. It sounded domestic and she loved it.

After a moment, she realised everything had gone quiet. She opened her eyes to find Beatrice standing in front of her holding a bottle and staring at her. Karlene, with a shock, saw she was holding a bottle of raspberry syrup.

"Magnolia?" whispered Beatrice.

Karlene bit her lip. She was busted. She nodded her head.

Beatrice let out a squeal of joy and launched herself at Karlene.
