Reading the description of the story and the category I was going to pass on this one. Then thinking about some of your other works I decided to give it a try. Glad I did. Very good story and it makes us old guys think about how much gas we have left in the tank.

On the first page, you introduced the IT problem and the disrespect that Frank, Josh and Jackson had towards Karl. It sounded like Karl was going to lose his job but you never addressed this or wrapped it up at the end of your tale. I so wanted him to ride off into the sunset.
It would be interesting to see what happens in the future between them.
What a plot. That was a whole lotta fun. It brings to mind the films After Hours with Griffin Dunne and Date Night with Steve Carell and Tina Fey. Thanks much. Very entertaining.

That was a very good story. I am quite impressed. Karl's gonna get fired, so I was hoping the whole network where Karl works would crash, and he was the only one who had experience with the legacy systems to fix it. But the super sexy sleuth story was wild for sure. Maybe his ex and her dive instructor could have diner with a great white shark. Or better... Be the dinner! Just a few suggestions.

Old Age and treachery overcomes youth and enthusiasm! Loved Karl's story, how about part two. Karl gets and keeps Nora, gets his pompous ass boss fired. Then gets promoted to lead the ITR office into the future. Oh yeah, his ex wife gets dumped by the scuba dude, falls apart, and his boys come live with him & Nora.
Definitely a lovely story indeed. One of the best that comes across after going through number of stories. The story line, narration and each sequence is gripping with good vocabilory. Many thanks for posting such wonderful story.

Being 78 years old and remembering the old TV westerns such as Roy Rodgers, Gene Autry, Hopalong Cassidy, etc., the ride into the sunset was great, except, the old western heroes only had their horses. This guy had a Mustang and Nora. And I bet he wasn't making it with the Mustang. Damn, what a wet dream.

Absolutely FANTASTIC, It had everything, Work, old friends being together, a birthday to remember, A Beautiful Woman, Suspense and finally sex n Love. It was looooong but I could not stop reading once I started. Your story-line is Fantastic- Definitely FANTASTIC , keeping the reader on the edge the whole time

Really Great Story! Good buildup to get the story going and then very well organized with a Great plot. Always a favorite when the average man gets the hot girl. Perfect ending when Karl gets Nora, the classic Mustang and his boss has to eat a big helping of Crow! Keep up the great writing!

Great, well written story! A little eroticism thrown into an attention holding action story. (And for me it doesn't hurt that Nora is described similarly to an old lover of mine!)
Great story, a quiet, ordinary man having an adventure that many men would only dream of, and getting the beautiful woman in the end.
