I loved the dark mood you created right from the start. It broods like a film noir. And the growing cast of magical characters promises all kinds of excitement.
I like how this story begins with a Chad who is clearly growing in compassion, something he completely lacked when we met him. Also the development in Qiang, whom I found to be petulant in the beginning of the first story.
It may be a challenge to keep a character like Dakota growing, who I assume will have a role in this second story as well.
Delightful that you are back, and that we fans will be able to enjoy your expanding view of the magical world.
and I think Chad more than deserves it. What he did to Dakota was beyond terrible but he more than made up for that with his assistance in helping rescue Sebastian. And after the rescue he did what he felt needed to be done. The Hunter was already alive in Chad.
And hurray for this being to long for the Christmas Contest. I hope this like "The Pearl" has a nice run.(maybe past new years) I like getting one really good gift early and this fits that category. So thanks for the early gift of your new story.
I was so glad that you continued this story So much is yet to be answered. The way the dragons respond to one another is ironic and sometimes funny. The seriousness aside it shows us ourselves as you wrote in the last bit. I want more info on the great stag. Who is the accompanying shadow? I eagerly await your next story!!
as the prior story arc, and , while i may be reading into thins chad and Sebastian may be linked more closely than either realize, and to me , that could and does make for a interesting story, how do two individuals, both thrust into positions neither asked, nor seem completely ready for , deal with one another and what the situation as it is presents. as for the born dragons , and the girls , i do think they , with such different perspectives , think of what is and will happen ( and i do think that chad has a admirer that is not going to make Qiang happy
I didn't read all of the Pearl series but I'm excited to see how this one turns out.
in the redemption of Chad. And in this marvelous (in both senses) world you have created. I was somewhat disappointed when "The Pearl" ended. Thank you for more stories. There is so much potential here! Please keep writing, not only about Chad, but about Sebastion and Dakota.
BTW,
"Fart...Isn't that what it's called when an ass-hole makes noise?"
I love that line! ROTFLMAO!
