Click here"I appreciate that. I'm sorry I didn't hear you out. I owed you that much. I still would have been pissed, kinda still am actually, but you were trying to do the right thing after all." Ernie had his faults, no different than me or anybody else. One of mine was jumping to conclusions with no real evidence. One of his was indecision.
"Yeah, I am. That's why I'm telling you now that you both need to leave here. Let's be honest here, you aren't going to keep this a secret forever. My folks or your mom will eventually figure it out. Moving will slow that down. If they can see you're happy and it's working for you, it will be easier for them to accept. Right now, one of them will kill you for taking advantage of her. You aren't but they're going to still see it that way."
"Yeah, that had occurred to me."
"Go to Kansas City. Even without a job, go with her. Come back to visit separately. Give it a few years, see if they figure it out. I think they will but you never know. I certainly wouldn't tell them. If you have to visit together, stay away from each other."
"You've given this a lot of thought." Almost as much as I had. I wasn't sure how uncomfortable that made me.
"You're freaks but you're still family. Not having you guys around sucks." Since that afternoon with Alton on the cruise, I'd felt the same way about him. "Take care of her. Don't make me have to come looking for you."
We stood and Ernie extended his hand. I took it and we ended up in a huge, back-slapping hug. He was absolutely correct, we were family.
Sherry showed up bright and early Saturday morning to help me get ready for the interview. By the time it was ten, I wasn't stressed any longer. The interview went very well. So well, in fact, that we felt the need to celebrate. Again.
Incredibly, I was offered the position later the next week and we agreed on a start date right after Labor Day. Sherry broke the news to everybody about her plans the Monday after we came back.
In just about every sitcom I've ever seen, there's an episode or two involving the family secret nobody talks about. Everybody knows, they just pretend it doesn't exist.
I don't think I had even finished telling Mom, Bob, and Gina about accepting the new job that I could sense the change. Ernie and Sherry felt it, too. None of us could put a finger on it precisely, it felt like they knew what was going on, they just chose to ignore the obvious.
We were careful to keep our distance around them, no displays of affection, that sort of thing. We didn't go out of our way to avoid each other, we just tried to act like we did before all of this started. They went along with it.
We continued to do it even after moving to Kansas City. When they visited, I slept in the downstairs guest bedroom that was made up to be my room.
Some people might wonder why we would go to that extreme. We cared about them and they cared about us. If they could find it in themselves to ignore it, even if they didn't like it, the least we could do was respect that and not flaunt it in their faces. Not the ideal solution but it worked for us.
We didn't forget the friends we made on the cruise, either. They all eventually found out about us and nobody was especially weirded out by it. Every couple of years, we would get together in Las Vegas for a week around National Nude Day and maybe some year we'll do another cruise.
Ernie? Well, he finally got married to the woman of his dreams. She was a real sweetheart and, by his account, one of the kinkiest women alive. Debi and Sherry hit it off immediately and they visit us frequently.
I think everything turned out better than we had a right to expect. As Bob would say, we done good for not knowing what we were doing.

And that concludes my Literotica Nude Day Story Contest 2024 entry. Please let me know what you think by rating, favoriting, and/or commenting.
If you plan on commemorating Nude Day outdoors, please remember your sunscreen. Skin cancer isn't erotic or amusing.
Please be careful. If you can't be careful, don't name it after me...
Great story! How about a follow up, let them have kids, it would be a great sequel.
The past 3 story's iv read have been like this one and I'm honestly going to miss reading them
A great story, one of the best I read here and, as Bucks7T2 already mentioned, not one measuring or even a "wow, what a big cock" or something stupid. Thanks for that!!
Extraordinary, and not one mention of measurements of the participants. Thank you for this story.
