A beautiful ode to a very special woman who means so much. My heart aches for you, yet sings with hope. An amazing woman once told me that poetry was the path of least resistance between my emotions and the page. I've always believed that and this proves it beyond doubt. xxxx

The turkeys are hilarious, and I can feel the rising and falling tension and conflict conveyed throughout this poem. I was expecting more from the lovely pond. Maybe that’s why the character wishes to return, and if so, will turkeys be waiting or something experientially different? The ending is perfect. I love the bright, warm, and other sensual elements.
