The divorce was final last week and I haven't seen or spoken to Barb in the last six months. I miss her, I really do. I still love her and I suppose that I always will. If I had just started up my car and driven away when I saw her get into that back of her car with Jeff and then confronted her with it when she got home we might have been able to work things out. But I didn't drive away and there was no way I could ever stay with her after watching her do what she did on that back seat.

The most stories submitted on this site, and also the most to be "gutted" in their closing paragraphs. Even when the MC simply can't allow himself to be a wimp, he usually manages to let us know at the end that he "wishes" he could have been one.

I usually like your stories, but your MC is a jackass and pussy. Overwrought, overdone, overly dramatic male drama Queen. She shouldn’t have cheated, but seems he spent energy doing his silly spec. Comfy rather than just confronting his wife and asking her to go. What a wuss. She can do better. One and done twice a week. She shouldn’t have to tell him he needs to do better.

There's ALOT of guys like him on this site: stone cold experts in police protocol and procedure. There's a lot in rl, too. Some get shot in the back. Some get shot 17 times for reaching for their wallet when ordered to show id. Some are shot in their car with their toddler son sitting next to them. Some get dragged behind cop cars. Some get tased to death, choked to death, beaten to a pulp. They all had one thing in common and in common with the NONY: they all knew what cops would and wouldn't do.
Barb loves her husband so much she's fucking her ex. Actually, stated then dropped, she was fucking 2 guys. Why was this dropped? Her activities with Jeff cost hubby nothing? Betrayal, trust, disrespect, chance of disease, to start. Short story but good. 4 stars Bob

3 stars. Needs a better ending. Short endings are fine but the continual leaving the reader hanging wears over time.
I'm rating this - barely - 3 stars, largely because the story caught my interest somehow. However:
: Runon sentences: too much use of the word "and" or commas.
: Punctuation: Seriously, I'm wondering if the author's reading sports magss or just cut English class. Commas misplaced, moreso not there. Many quotation marks missing (one sided), leading me to think the same person's talking instead of another. Some spelling mistakes or words missing; though not use, it told me JPB wrote this story & didn't bother proof reading it or having another a proof reader. Having said all that, I've read other of JPB's stories & were written much better all around - even the few that I didn't like.
: Repetition: "I'm out of the house & I see no reason to go back there." This runs throughout. Once the person speaking, etc., is noted, no sense of repetition like in the example.
: With the lawyer: Rob wants a restraining order against Barbara, saying he fears for his life. Almost the next sentence, he says after he leaves, he'll drop it & there won't be any hearing. The lawyer just seems to accept that without question. I know this's fiction, but the better fiction has the element of believability to it.
: Barb & Jeff - OK, she knew him before her hubby who's lacking in bed. As Rob pointed out, why the fuck didn't she say something so he could hopefully do something? Probable reason: she's a slut for Jeff & didn't, in reality, want to give him up. The bitch wanted both men, so she kept quiet. Didn't want to hurt Rob? Didn't affect him? In what world, unless you're married to a wimp or cuck, would a husband be OK with his wife fucking anybody else? Her betrayal & yes, disrespect, won't create an emotional disturbance in her husband?
: Due to the above, what could've been a solid 4 star story is only 2; as I wrote above, my interest in this story & the storyline prompts my 3 star rating. Overall, Just Plain Bob, not your finest & I'm disappointed. Bob

Very well written and told. By the way, grabbing the guy by the ankles and dragging him face down naked from the car is assault. I learned that the hard way, it cost me 5 days in jail. Yes we divorced but years later I beat the hall out of him for hitting her, I still don't want her back. Remember, if she cheats with you, she will cheat on you. And she did. Rob asked the right questions. She sunk herself telling him he's a failure in bed as the reason without even talking to her husband. Saying she'd chose him with bad sex to Jeff with great sex was another totally mean thing to say. Both statements are not what somebody says when trying to keep a marriage. And the "it's only sex", whether implied or said directly is another. widowedidiot: maybe you would stay with such a slut, but no real self-respecting man would. (BTW, as I reread your comments, you seem to be playing both sides of the coin, wanting his to stay but how does a man go on with that knowledge. Loved the story, well written (unlike most other authors I've read here) & thought out. You suck in bed & he's so good: that's the one huge line you don't say when trying to avoid a divorce. Especially!!! when you didn't say anything at all to your husband. It was a believable story & like previously stated, well told.

Funny, not a bad story. What would be in a had of any woman that wants reconciliation to tell the man that he is not good in sex? LOL, that would surely work to get back together. Granted, maybe some woman could be that stupid but my guess most would be smart enough to avoid such an unforced error.
By the way, I am not an expert, but my experience tells me that women experience sex just by looking at the man and if the man is irresistible to them from the point of looks then he will be a good sex partner regardless of how "lousy" he is in bed, as long as he is not impotent. Most men do not understand that. If you have body and face that a woman finds attractive you will be "good in the sack" no matter what. If you don't then you won't.
