"But I'll certainly give your offer some thought," she said, and took a bite of the stroganoff she had created for us. "You should really try some before it gets cold."
I put on a smile, picked up my fork and stared for a second before straightening up and digging in to the best dinner I'd had in months.
"You gonna do a weekly food video?" I asked between bites.
"If I can keep up the pace. Otherwise, biweekly or monthly."
"You think you'll need a videographer?"
Amber nodded and laid her hand gently on my arm. She was smiling. "Sure, you know anybody?"
I grinned. I couldn't help myself. "How 'bout a date for Pride Prom?"
"You volunteering?"
I shrugged.
Amber leaned in and gave me a quick peck on the lips. She tasted a little bit like brown gravy. It was the best kiss I'd had in recent memory.

Very nice story! What I like are Dani's snide remarks about Ambers overdose of enthusiasm and charitableness at first and how she gradually comes around.
DL. I too loved it Dani is the 'straight man' in this duo. Pardon the choice of words. I had to read all the comments to see if I had left one the first time I read it last year. 5* for sure and the Sade' joke was not lost on me. Clever girl ;)

But I think it stands for itself - it is good and doesn't need a continuation. But then ... it also could become a series about not too expensive meals ...

Pretty good, I really like your short but sweet stories, not all stories have to be about jumping into bed and having sex within the first page some of the best stories have no sex at all

...busty, bubbly blondes with begging bowls---love 'em or hate 'em, there's no middle ground. In this instance it rightly turned into love 'em. I do enjoy these amusing little slices-of-life of yours, Wax. Sandy is right, Amber's too good a character to abandon and I can see potential in more adventures for her and Dani. "More!
