You give some gretat ways to comes up with story ideas. The one about memories I've heard before. An author once said in a writing workshop that a friend said they couldn't write like them, so the writer told the friend to write about her favourite toy as a kid and then went on to say that the friend has since filled an exercise book with just stories about thing from her memories.
