All Comments on 'The Hunger Ch. 01'

a marvelous feast--with a great entree, and a hint of the fabulous dessert to come;

the appetizer's seasonings, while no doubt freshly picked from the author's garden, were still overwhelming--a finer hand would improve the over all experience, and allow the piquancy of the ingredients themselves to harmonize rather than clash.

a minor complaint, in plating the sous chef included too many garnishes--some should have been saved for a midnight snack, or for the next course where the location of this fabulous meal becomes relevant.

i was equally pleased because i have experienced a similar hunger, but have progressed only as far as reading the menu on the windows...barely acknowledging any interest in its fare, much less crossing the threshold and sampling a dish that i fear will prove to be all too addictive,

or, even worse, a total disappoinment--kind of like finding out that raw oysters taste a lot like slimy seawater, or that caviar is really fish eggs, and haggis is, well, haggis--sounds neat, but the taste forever ruins your ability to appreciate this fine cuisine

fortunately, your interpretation of this classic meal did not disappoint..

i drool in anticipation of next week's 'chef's special'.

...and would add a "Wow" to that. Happened to see chapter 10 in the que of recent stories so I went back to see what preceded it. Taking your time to tell these stories is clear from the time line. Your comments about outlines and story construction speak of a good writer. Although I have visited this site fairly regularly over the past several years, I haven't written comments to anyone in quite some time; a good woman writer from Australia and I exchanged a thought or two over several months. However, I wanted to drop you a note about how damn hot your story became as you set it up. Your description of your state of mind leading up to and including your meeting your couple was smokin' I look forward to seeing where the "Hunger" chapters lead but before moving on I wanted to tell you that your writing really stood out in the first episode.
